Hi all!

This past week, it’s been all about working on the shed. We were due for a big rain storm near this weekend, so I was racing against weather-time attempting to get it framed and waterproofed!

Guess what…. I made it! But I’ve yet to share the framing. But you can catch up where we left off with the demo in THIS post.

In other news, I did manage to finally start telling the story of another BIG project that has been ongoing for WEEKS.

My neighbours and I teamed up and designed / created this adorable forest-inspired flower bed that’s located between us. It was all about bringing a mix of BOTH yards into one, so it felt like it belonged to both of us.

This is a big post filled with the story, before shots, and of course, tips on how we made the fence! More to come as this one grows in!

Now that the rain has hit, it’s a good excuse to stay indoors, so I plan to fix my fridge, get caught up with paperwork and start dreaming of new stencil designs! Yikes… I’ve really fallen off the wagon with all that.

So let’s now enjoy a few up-cycled project features from last week’s party, which I dearly miss making myself! Maybe next week….

  1. LOL Donna, when i read your description of my post, i thought you said ‘detailed and amusing tutorial’…. and i was thinking ‘what did i SAY??!!!’

thank you so much for including my version of pool noodle faux cacti. i can’t claim it’s an original idea, as i have seen others use them in similar ways – but never paired with a sweater! so at least that part is original. and yes, i’ve often wondered if i could get a book deal for a collection of sweater creations. my friend Betz White did (have you SEEN her darling sweater cuff cupcakes?!!) so maybe that’s something i should pursue, as well. thanks for the encouragement – and i love your name suggestion! ~ deb
