Happy Fall Y’all! And just in time, I launched my first fall craft that was so simple and fun!
Gathering a few chunks of 2×4, these scrap wood pumpkins became yet another variation of wooden pumpkins! I just love these little shelf sitter types of projects, and this one in particular is super simple to create, thanks to a new stencil called Mini Pumpkin Patch Kit!
It includes 4 pumpkin carved faces designed to work on 2x4s… as well as other mini pumpkin sayings and such so you can stencil scrap wood or stencil using the two pumpkins on the stencil itself! Very fun mix and match kit!
And now I need to make more variations because my head sees so many more options!
I’m also working on another unique stencil idea that I haven’t seen online yet at all, it’s an all season idea so crossing fingers my test run works out the way I hope!
So let’s now visit some gorgeous upcycle project features from last week’s party to really bring on fall in a big way!

Painted pumpkins fireplace display
Modern fall fireplace with painted pumpkins by Sadie Seasongoods
I think I’m going to start following Sarah into the thrift stores, because who would have thought of using a candelabra as a pumpkin stand for a fireplace?! Love how the pastel pumpkins bounce around at different heights. This fall display is genius and should be a real pumpkin display thing!
Paper bag leaves on a branch
Paper bag fall leaves on a branch by Homeroad
This clever fall leaf and branch tutorial has you a little fooled… because the paper bag really does resemble crunchy fall leaves! Super cool idea if you don’t want to bother with flaking real leaves nor the expense of purchasing dried. This turned out so cool!

Loop Yarn DIY Pumpkin by DIY Beautify
Doesn’t this texture drive you right in?! Love this yarn pumpkin idea that couldn’t be simpler to make… it just looks technical! What a genius tutorial.
