Happy weekend!
First up, my apologies for not getting a new party post up last weekend. Life was travelling faster than I could keep up with, so the timing just slipped my mind. But no matter, if you are one who links up, feel free to double-up your sharing which would be a real treat for those who visit!
I’m currently working on an inflatable hot tub series so I can share why we got our new toy and alllll the pros and cons in case you too are in the market for one.
It’ll also keep me honest and get it all done so it’s pretty! Because there appears to be a vast difference from just living in your home vs. sharing what you do… ask me how I know. I miss prettier living so it’s time to get back on track!
However I did share one project lately I’m very pleased with…
Wooden candle lantern makeover with milk paint
Candle lantern makeover with milk paint
This little wooden lantern was a curbside score, but it sure didn’t look this chic when I picked it up! Check out the gritty before, and find out what pretty paint tones were used to get this pretty AND outdoor durable look!
Now that we’re pretty much updated, let’s check out these fab features from the last party we had…

Create coastal candle holders from this thrift store find
Pillar candle holders, coastal-style by Sadie Seasongoods
Wish you were at the beach but aren’t? (slowly raising my hand here…) Well, after seeing these fabulous coastal-styled pillar candle holders, you’ll be heading to the thrift to score a couple of key elements (on the brown shelf LOL) to get this look! I’m honestly astonished the before turned into these beauties! Go see for yourself in this tutorial.
Craft adorable pom pom gnomes
Easy pom pom gnomes by Creatively Beth
If you are a gnome fan, save your toilet paper rolls because you are going to adore this pom pom gnome project! Oh my goodness these are the cutest! And how fun to customize in the yarn colour of choice!
Outdated hurricane lantern to mushroom cloche
Glass hurricane mushroom cloche by Little Vintage Cottage
You will never look at outdated glass hurricane candle holders the same again after seeing this one turn into a precious mushroom cloche! Oh goodness, this little piece of nature has my heart. This brilliant idea shares how to mould those mushrooms by hand so you can make them your own!
DIY painted Tiki mug
Christmas in July: SanTIKI mug by Homeward Found Decor
I had to take a second look when I first spotted this post because my thoughts were immediately ‘Tiki mug’ and ‘I miss Maui.’ (thanks Deb..) But if you analyze the title then take a peek at this tutorial, you’ll be amazed at what this originally was! I didn’t see that coming. SO clever and cool!

ohhhh my friend, i miss Hawai’i, too…
it’s Kauai for me, but Maui sure is beautiful! traveling there is too much for Mom now, so we just surround ourselves with tropical decor and yes, tiki mugs! (and the mai tais that fill them 😉 )
thank you so much for your kind words about this fun project, and for including it in your feature. <3
