Hello, and a happy fall to all!
I’m thinking it’s time to tuck away our air conditioners at this point since our weather has turned to all rain starting over the weeked.
And just before the rain hits, I decided to make a decision on what to do with all 8 of my humongous ferns that hung around the house all summer… which I share in this fall season outdoor tour!
Fall season outdoor tour with ferns and foliage
Every summer I pick up 8 boston ferns for the front and back of the porches. But this year, I’ve never seen them get this massive! So now that summer’s over, do I keep and try to winter them, or let hang them until they die? Little did I know after browsing Facebook Marketplace, there was one other option… which I went for! Come take the tour and see what I ended up doing with ALL. THESE. FERNS.
Now that we’re caught up, here’s some pretty fab repurposed project features from last week’s party to consider making…

Make free pumpkin face planters using duct tape
Have a few bare planters? Why not grab a roll of duct tape to create happy jack o’lantern faces… for free?! This tutorial is one of those projects that is so simple, it’s like why didn’t we already think of this? But we apparently needed Annisa’s creativity to get this one on the map! My son gasped at this image… so I think we’ll be hosting a few of these happy guys this fall!
Stencil up an Indian Corn crate for a fall centerpiece
If you too have a spare crate hanging around, here’s a clever way to theme it for fall. Love the grain sack stripe detailing which ages the look up! Learn how in this crate tutorial.
Craft stained glass maple leaves – two samples
While this isn’t leading to a full tutorial, if you know how to create stained glass, consider creating a gorgeous fall leaf or two! What a vision this must be in front of a window! This post also shares another stained glass maple leaf in green tones.
Whip up the cutest pumpkin decor using straw trivets
Are you a trivet collector? Study those shapes and colours and you too may be able to create some pumpkin decor out of yours with this tutorial! Love the rustic texture with a hint of boho chic, don’t you think?
