Happy New Year, creative friends!
Here’s hoping you had a wonderful holiday season before reality revealed itself once again!
My son and I had a pretty fabulous time, staying close to home, with some unexpected but good results! I started deep cleaning on Christmas day of all days (while Christmas was still all out of course) and haven’t stopped since! I’m totally on a roll and I’ve granted myself a little more time to dig deep before I start making new projects again. I just know if I stop now, the momentum will halt. And I’m not ready for this to end quite yet!
I’ll be sharing my progress in stories and hopefully will come up with a before and after post worth sharing at some point soon!
So creatives, even if you haven’t created anything new either, please feel free to link up your best of 2023 projects either individually or as a roundup as well!
Here’s a few fabulous upcycled features from the most current party from 2 weeks ago:

Angels made with leaf wings
Christmas angels with leaf wings by 4 Seasons Blog
Here’s a fun new twist to a Christmas angel… using leaves as the wings! Love the rustic, natural vibes the leaves and tones offer!
Vintage baby shoe Christmas ornaments
Baby shoe Christmas ornament by Little Vintage Cottage
Here’s a fabulous idea if you have some keepsake baby shoes on hand! Why not turn them into keepsake Christmas ornaments? I just love the mini garland fringe on these, they look so festive and sweet! Such a neat idea.
Embellished glass jar lights or candle holders
Glass jar votive or light by Steph Creates Things DIY Home and Crafts
Care to illuminate a few dark corners during the winter evenings? Here’s a gorgeous way to do just that with jars and a few pretty embellishments! These are actually lights but could also be sued for candles! Check out the tutorial to see it illuminated at night!
Vintage book apple decor
Upcycled book apple decor by Me and my Inklings
If you happen to have an old book on hand, here’s how to create 3D art, in this case, apple decor! Love the mix of ribbons around the apple stem! Just think of the possibilities with this idea… what else can you make after you learn this tutorial?

Thank you for featuring my embellished shimmery glass jar. I am happy to see that you enjoyed it. Wishing you a happy new year filled with joy and success.
I also sometimes feel like changing everything. Precisely as you say. Today I left a DIY that was what I liked most last year. Thank you for your inspiration. I love seeing all these ideas. Have a good year full of health and lots of joy Elsa
Thank you for featuring my apple decor made from a book! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Donna! Sharing all the vintage projects I revived as my Christmas decor this year;) Of course, there’s some upcycled/repurposed faves in there, too.
Thank you for including my baby shoe ornament in your features this week! Happy New Year!
The baby shoe ornament is gorgeous. What a unique idea. The shimmery glass jar, well I love when things shimmer and cast a beautiful glow. The rustic apple from book pages. All really beautiful.
