New Upcycle Ideas 717
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Greetings friends!
This past week was a big one, even though I have nothing to show for it quite yet! Unless you visit my stories on Instagram under Vanity of course! I lugged home a free antique sideboard that has already been turned into a bathroom vanity, so I’m taking this new project on with a vengeance! My son insisted we needed to update our own bathroom vanity (see it HERE) which is much smaller.
So ok then! Which of course takes time because of allllll the other updates I want now. Nothing like a new project you don’t really desperately need, huh?
However I’d like to be more mindful to ensure I get a new even small project or post on the blog each week in addition to this party post on Fridays, so I will try! I start posts when just end up as unfinished drafts. Time to change that.
But no need to wait… let’s have some other upcycled fun right NOW! Wait until you check out these fabulous upcycled project features from last week’s party…

And moving right along with more Easter goodness, this adorable Easter egg wreath is absolute perfection to hang on a front door. Aren’t the speckled eggs the cutest?! I want one!
Moss wreath and potted moss for spring decorating
Faux moss wreath for spring by Homeward Found Decor
Deb has officially convinced me that I too can have spring greens in my home that won’t die! My only fern is officially a done deal (oops), so it’s time to bring on the moss, in the form of moss-filled planters or a fresh mossy wreath for spring!
Dollar Tree stacked books for St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day book stack by Creatively Beth
This sweet and easy St. Patrick’s Day book stack project can get you started with any small books you may have on hand, or in this case, at your nearest Dollar Tree! The funky letters are the cutest, and I love how you can customize the messages for any season to suit using the method shared in this tutorial.
DIY clay mushrooms and birds garland by Seasons Blog
Imagine molding out the very pieces you’d like to make to create your own sweet garland. In this case, mushrooms and birds create this outdoorsy garland that is suitable to hang for spring, summer and fall! And it isn’t difficult at all. Follow this DIY clay garland tutorial to get started on your own designs!

thank you so much for including my ‘mossy’ wreath in your feature this week, Donna! i’m so glad it inspired you! it really is fun creating new ways to bring ‘Spring greens’ into decor WITHOUT using real plants. (disclosure: it’s by necessity! i KILL them when i bring them inside!!! LOL – and just WAIT until you see what i have to share NEXT week 😉 )
I think I may have had a sneak peek, but I’m ALL FOR IT ALL. I adore the twists and turns with your vision! You keep it interesting!
LOL yeah there’s a spoiler at the end of this week’s post 😉
it’s funny, i wasn’t planning on sharing the ‘next thing’, but it turned out SO well that i figure it might help solve a similar dilemma for others! thank you for your kind and encouraging comments, my friend.
Thank you very much for liking my DIY with birds and mushrooms. Have a good Sunday xoxo from Holland

Creatively, Beth
LOL Donna, I too have multiple unfinished blog post drafts. As creatives, we now get to add unfinished drafts to unfinished projects! What a time! 🙂
Oh goodness… I have so many that I’ve lost interest in publishing them! I need to change that… LOL
