Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Greetings friends!
After enjoying a day or two of sunshine earlier this week, we are now officially smack dab in the middle of a typical west coast spring week, with rain for daaayyyys. Which is a good way to get back indoors and finish up a few projects of course! Great outdoors, be back soon.
I’m happy to report, I did launch a new stencil pattern which I’m smitten with!
The Cross Pattern stencils are a bold yet subtle pattern that looks good on SO many things! It comes in 3 pattern scaled sizes so it works with small, medium and large projects. So my patio pillows got a quick and cute update! Can’t wait for a few other ideas which are coming soon!
So until there’s more to share, let’s check out this week’s upcycled project features from last week’s party… soooo inspiring!

Mix paint and wood grain for a stunning table makeover
Paint and wood antique accent table makeover by Creative Moments
A furniture makeover is most commonly done where paint covers the entire surface. But it’s always such a headturner when wood grain and paint is combined, don’t you think? And such is the case with this gorgeous antique accent table. The painted areas seem to accent the wood grain, turning this traditional beauty into a one-of-a-kind piece!
Craft jewelry into flowers in pots!
Vintage floral jewelry plant pots by Homeward Found Decor
When Deb was inspired by another’s floral pin collection, she dug through her own stash to create these whimsical flower jewelry plant pots! Teamed up with moss and clay pots, these faux flower pots are completely adorable. Imagine the possibilities with this clever idea!
Weave a diy basket with twine and a plastic container
Upcycled plastic container into a woven basket by Purple Hues and Me
This may resemble a lovely lavender-painted basket, but it’s SO much more. This cutie started as a plastic container and twine! You read that right. This diy woven basket tutorial is a must-peek. It’s so professionally done and does not look difficult to make!
Create magical faux moss from a simple sponge
Faux moss and mushroom decor by A Crafty Mix
Michelle is always creating whimsical projects, however this one has a great tip! Grab a simple kitchen sponge, because it can become the most gorgeous faux moss! Then of course add a few mushrooms to the mix to create your own mushroom and moss decor, staged into plant pots, napkin rings or more! This is so pretty!

We’ve got rain, too, but we need it, so I’m happy! Thanks for hosting, Donna!
Thanks for featuring my woven basket and your lovely description of it, Donna! You are the best! Have a great week!
Thank you for hosting! We have a few days of rain, so I think I will wrap up a few indoor projects. Have a wonderful week.
I love all of your recycling repurposing ideas but do you have some ideas that older gentlemen might like as well? I teach a craft at a senior living facility and several men attend. I find that most of my crafts are geared toward women. I pay for most of the supplies, so inexpensive recycled items are best. Thank you so much.
Hi Joan! Most projects on the link parties are from women contributors so I can only feature what comes my way. However if you visit most of my own DIY tutorials, many can be modified for a more masculine theme. For example, if it’s a DIY tote, one could add a bottle opener to the side for a beer or soda caddy. I don’t have a specific tag to share for men’s ideas only, however I will consider that moving forward! Thanks for the suggestion.
Thank you so much for including my vintage jewelry ‘posie pots’ project in your feature, Donna – they sure are happy spring companions in my studio!
Enjoy the rain!
