I’m so excited for this week’s project… this was a desire for nearly 20 years! After my son moved out and I moved my blog office to his old room, I finally had the space for a farmhouse table of my dreams! Except the prices made me gasp…
DIY farmhouse dining table made from a wooden picnic table by Funky Junk Interiors
So pulling an old picnic table into action, I now officially have a farmhouse dining table that cost me $25 instead of $2500! Because I added wood to the top, I didn’t even have to strip any paint to achieve the 2-toned look! Even the existing floor to ceiling shelving blended right in! And yet another place and excuse for coffee time. LOL
I filmed this project for Hometalk so check out the video at the bottom of the post if you’d like to see it being done! Struggling pushing the table through two screen doors slamming behind me… classic. I now have a real kitchen! Which I still can’t believe.

The woven one is so cool… and the stamped ones… egads. I can’t choose a fav!
