New Upcycled Projects to Make 587

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy weekend!
I did it! I’ve finally finessed the art of doing nothing at home! haha
Honestly, I was due to visit a lovely cottage on a lake 4 hours away in Sicamous next week. However now that our wildfire season in BC is in high gear, that little getaway has been put on hold. We are so lucky to not yet have any smoke in our area so I’m counting my blessings!
Visit this cottage getaway series HERE
I’ve stayed in a cottage owned by Karen before. Karen collects from thrift stores to create absolute magic in her spaces. HERE is my last cottage stay which is a must-peek! And blew me away so much that I flipped the stay into a series.
Click HERE to view the cottage itself. It’s to DIE for! But the entire story leading up to it is pretty magical.
Whenever this next cottage stay becomes a reality, I know we are ALL in for a treat! It’s in a 100 year old home with a lake front view! When can I move in?!
So next week I may play around with getting my new inflatable hot tub up (I delayed it wondering if I should keep it or send it back) but I think I wanna give it a go. If I’m gonna stay home, may as well do it up right, right?! Who knows.. it may turn into a blog post…
So whether you are taking a small summertime break like I am just learning how ‘to be’, or are in full-out creative mode, I know you will be hugely inspired by this week’s highlights from last week’s party…

i applaud your achievement, my friend!!! i think learning how to relax and kick back is as vital a skill as knowing how to work hard, especially in the summertime, and i hope you keep enjoying your ‘stay-cation’!
thank you so much for including my quirky little ‘beach in a box’ project in your feature, Miss Donna… i hope you like my newest original sweater creation that i’ve linked up this week, too! (tho i don’t think it comes close to that basketball planter – brilliant!!!)
Hi Donna, thank you so much for the inspiration. Every project is beautiful. A good weekend or a good vacation. I still don’t have vacations only in August. This one. xoxo
Oh dear, sorry to hear your cottage break was put on hold, Donna. I’m holding thumbs the wildfires don’t get out of hand with the crazy weather you guys have been having. Either way, enjoy your time out and I hope you’ve recovered.
Glad to hear you’ve mastered the art of chilling at home and especially that the smoke hasn’t reached you Donna; I hope it stays that way. I’m so curious to see your inflatable hot tub; I didn’t even know those existed :).
Thanks so much for featuring our basketball planter project!
My kind of cottage! So quaint! Thanks for featuring my garden tools Sign!
I’m sorry you had to delay your trip. I hope you stay safe from the fires. Thank you for hosting the party.
Oooh that cottage looks lovely! I’d want to move into it too! We had one day so far that the smoke made it to Michigan. The moon at night looked like the inside of a blood orange. Unusual, eerie and beautiful all at the same time…..
Pssst, guess why you have no smoke? Because it headed west to stay with us for a week! We have it from BC and Saskatchewan and I’ve been hiding indoors with closed windows all week. I hope you still get to stay in that fabulous farmhouse sometime this summer. I LOVE Sicamous! We so enjoy spending time on the outdoor patio at Moose Mulligans. Have you been?
Oh no… sorry the wind is not blowing in your favor, Marie! I think it’s only a matter of time until that changes for us. I’ve never been to Sicamous nor Moose Mulligan’s yet now that I know it’s a thing to do! Thanks for the upcoming tip! I hope…
LOL, I thought the trip you had booked or took was in Sicamous. I need new glasses!
Thank you so much for featuring my doorstop DIY!! I hadn’t even made the connection that it looks like a buoy!!
Thanks a bunch for featuring my Boho Rainbow Travel Embroidery project, Donna! Always LOVE visiting your website and getting inspired! Have a great week!
Always look forward to your posts.
Thank you so much for hosting!!
