So this post shares my first kayaking experience, loaded with the best tips! And one of the prettiest blog posts I’ve put together yet.

We are experiencing another heat wave, so I’m going to let this weekend ride out, then maybe I’ll share my newest outdoor toy with you… stay tuned!

This whimsical project started as a means to clean up bits and pieces of paper, yarn, lace, and whatever else came into play. 1. Donna,
The trip with your brother looked like so much fun.
Were those Lily pads surrounding you? Great way to enjoy a heat wave.
Thank you so much for hosting! I’m so glad you liked my paper snippet rolls!

OH that Cottage by the Sea was amazing.
This week you inspired me to stencil some saws for Christmas….I wanted to ever since I saw yours 🙂
    xo Lisa S

  2. thank you so much for including my new Sweet Sweater Pineapples in your feature, Miss Donna! my link up this week might just kick your Dole Whip craving into overdrive LOL!

(and ah, just in case you ever make your way this far South again, there is now a place at the Disneyland Hotel where one can procure a genuine Dole Whip – with a splash of rum in it 😉 we’ll have to meet up in a different lobby this time!)

  3. Your kayak post is a feast for the eyes: those lily pads are incredible, as is the rest of the scenery; loved that duck too. So happy to see you had such a wonderful time kayaking! Kayaking is something I wish I could do (I just get motion sick). Hope you keep it up :).

Thanks so much for featuring my dog leash project Donna!

  4. I’ve walked the path around the lake you kayaked on – so beautiful there! It looked so peaceful amongst all those lily pads. I adore Kim’s cottage junk art! So well done. Have a fantastic long weekend! I hope you get a chance to do more kayaking, although from what I hear, the smoke is terrible there right now.

  5. That Cottage picture is awesome! I can just picture someone working on that at a camp along the water. Now it makes me want to buy a small cottage somewhere (lol)! It looks like it could have been featured on the show “Maine Cabin Masters”. (I love to watch that show on DIY network)
