Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Well friends, just when I was getting on a really good roll with Christmas project ideas,  priorities changed in the blink of an eye.

Last weekend we were hit with quite a rain event that led to extreme flooding. But as the water receded, other issues came into play.

Water started coming in from other river sources due to breached dyke systems elsewhere, eventually flooding nearby farmland and all our major highways. Which led to food shortages, no gas and my own community needing to be evacuated.

I left for a couple of days until they changed the status back to alert again. But I am currently living with boxes still piled to the ceilings on every surface possible because this issue isn’t yet solved and we have another major rainstorm next week. Oh boy.

So please pray I can stay warm and dry, unlike many others that are not so lucky that live just down the road from me.

I’ll share more in a post about everything that’s been going on, but if you’d like to see some glimpses, catch my stories under Flooding on Instagram HERE or through FB stories on Funky Junk Interiors FB HERE.

Anyway, it feels nice to tap some keys again, giving me a sense of normality which I’ve missed.

Back to you, let’s now enjoy some of these inspiring highlights through last week’s party… because they are EPIC.

  1. Donna,
Thank you so much for sharing my Scroll Ornaments.
I love making things that are easy and cost just a few pennies.
These were a big hit today at my craft fair!
This week will fly by and I want to tell you
Happy Thanksgiving…..late for you 🙂 but
when I reflect on all my blessing, you are among my thoughts!
    xo Lisa S

  2. Thank you for hosting the party, especially in the midst of what’s going on in your community. Praying everything gets back to normal soon & that the next big rain event fizzles out.

  3. I’m relieved to hear you’ve been able to go back home, Donna. We can’t wrap our heads around what we’re seeing on the news. The fact that Chris Hadfield could see it from space speaks volumes about how catastrophic it is. You are in my thoughts and praying you don’t get hit as hard with this next rainstorm. Stay safe! Thank you very much for the recycled coaster feature! xo

  4. Omgoodness, the flooding sounds horrible! Our home flooded once so I know it’s not a pleasurable experience at all. Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon. ?? Thanks for hosting the party especially with all you have going on!
