How’s everyone’s Christmas prep coming along?

I think I’d chalk my own progress up as slow as molasses. LOL With 3 failing computers chatting at me constantly, I’m getting close to punking up my feet on a pile of stacked Christmas ornament boxes,  flicking on a Hallmark movie and just embrace what-is. Dear Santa, boy do we need to chat. I’ll take that vacay first though…

Despite the hiccups, I do have a pretty cute project to share…

Ever wish you had some skis on hand to decorate with? Here’s how to make your own out a couple of wood planks! I honestly didn’t think they’d turn out as real looking as these did, so I’m quite pleasantly surprised! From a distance, you don’t even notice the wood isn’t curved at the tips! I’ll take it!

They are now hung up on my living room wall which will be part of my home tour… if my computers play nice.

And I also hope to share the cutest Christmas tree skirt that’s got a super quirky take… and a couple of new pillows I whipped up, all coming next week! If my luck holds out.

Back to you, let’s check out the super inspiring upcycled projects you brought over during last week’s party…

  1. i just LOVE your ‘faux’ skis, Donna – i think the way you stained them with some darker tones at the tops makes them look convincingly curved!
you truly have the best ideas around!

thank you so much for including my sweater & scarf wreath in your feature – and for your kind compliments and encouragement. <3 have a great weekend!

  2. You’ve been through a lot this last month. Go for the hallmark movie and chill time decompressing. Love the features this week and your awesome idea for ski decor (which I plan on making). Happy Holidays!

  3. I’m sitting here with my coffee eyeing my tin collection. Apparently I need to get some tree tops to put in them, cuz that looks really cute.
