Welcome to Party Junk 232 – an upcycled link party

Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Hello everyone! And yet another happy upcoming weekend to you!

It’s been a busy week at the ‘ol dayjob, plus I did some public speaking, as well as attempting to book a little weekend getaway for my birthday this weekend. 🙂 So I didn’t have time to build a themed post. However, the junk show must go on! I need to see what you’ve been up to!

Here are some oh so clever highlights from last week’s party to get things rolling…

Bicycle wheel foyer table by Reinvented

Kimm desired a shallow foyer table. She landed the awesome $60 porch posts which proved to be PERFECT for the desired depth, but drew a blank for a centre support. That’s when her brilliant hubby kicked in and used a bike wheel. So unexpected and the coolest eye grab, don’t you think?

Pallet wood garden edging by Upcycled Stuff

Tricia desired something a little more unique than a standard flower bed edge, so she used pieces from an old mailbox to create this cool pallet wood edging! It’s unexpected… and I love it!

Brickmakers table by AKA Design and Life

Shannon fell hard for Restoration Hardware’s Brickmakers Table, and wanted to recreate it. But rather than fussing with fussy metal legs, they made the base out of wood instead. This table is gorgeous! No tutorial on this blog post, however I think the pictures pretty much tell the story on their own.

Layered old doors wall art by Altered State

Pauline is a master at accumulating bits and pieces of salvaged material, creating the most wonderful unique art. And such is the case with this layered door wall art. This post leads up to explaining the elements used, and next up will be how it’s mounted. What a stunning piece!

Old door pot rack by Simply Vintageous by Susan

Susan’s gorgeous kitchen is actually very streamline and somewhat modern… however her cool old door potrack is anything but! Such a unique feature, offering good ‘ol fashioned junk charm to personalize her space!

I have a passion for doors, so both the door art and door pot rack especially made my heart beat faster. So great! Really, everywhere I look on this site is a wonderland of creative problem-solving.
