Welcome to Party Junk 239 – Upcycled link party

Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Welcome weekend, and to all of you upyclers out there!

I was feeling in a random mood today, so here are a few highlights from last weekend’s link party to kick this party off right…

DIY mercury bird feeders by Show and Tell

DIY mercury bird feeders / Stow & Tell

Amy’s intention had been to create something elaborate for birdfeeders involving metal. Since that didn’t happen, she created ‘the look’ instead, with various found objects and a little paint. These are simply adorable!

Leave it to Carlene to come up with a must have planter, created from a washboard and a drawer. Darling!

Becky has long been a master junker. In this post, she does a roundup of some of her favourite things she’s planted flowers in. ALL of her ideas will have you running away from a traditional clay pot!

  1. Hi Donna,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for letting me share my booth space at the Farm and Frills Show I participated in last Saturday with you today.

    Have a wonderful weekend:-)

    xoxo

  2. I love the highlights you chose, Donna! I haven’t so much as planted a single pot yet this year (don’t know what’s up with that) but I’m starting to feel inspired by all the darling outdoor things I’m seeing.
Thanks so much for the party! Hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂

  3. Thank you Donna for hosting upcycled junk. Its been mostly garden work this week and I did recycle wire and a plastic tablecloth as well as a lot of various pieces of wood to make a ‘fence’ around the raised beds to keep the dogs from running through. Long weekend, planting in Fraser Valley, happy times.

  4. You’re going to be so proud of me. I found an old rusty Radio Flyer Wagon with a hand pull. I’m going to make it into a flowerpot but will have to wait until after we get settled into our new move in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait! 🙂 -Bev p.s. Love your blog, I enjoy reading it 🙂
