PJ 251 – upcycled DIY projects

Upcycled DIY project highlights this week / make anything with everything! via FunkyJunkInteriors.net

Welcome to Party Junk 251 – an Upcycled DIY projects party

Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Hello, hello friends! Welcome to yet another upcycled link party.

I can’t believe how fast these weeks fly by. Since this one went by so fast, I didn’t have time to create a theme, so I’ll be filling up this post with features as they come live in the linkup below. Here are a few cool highlights so far that caught my eye…

Herringbone pallet wood outdoor deck by Scrapality Designs

Andrea is building a deck. But not only is it a deck, it’s a reclaimed pallet wood deck in a herringbone pattern! Because it was a long and tedious task, she’s done it over time. Landing a few more pallets, she’s finally got it to this point. Check out her pallet wood outdoor kitchen too… swoonworthy!

Reclaimed wood shelves by Edea Smith

When Edea moved into her home, she decided to personalize it any way she could. There was one spot in particular that was kind of a wasteland of space, so she created these cool reclaimed wood shelves so the space not only had her touch, it was productive too. Love that the boards aren’t solid. This is easy to do!

License plate and yardstick table by Minettes Maze

When Shelly went to her Grandmother’s one weekend to help her with some tasks around the house, her Grandmother wanted her to have this little table. Shelly wanted to do something special to it, so she gathered up come license plates, yardsticks and lattice boards and created one funky junky table!

LOOOOOVE this design! And now I need more plates!

DIY rope curtain rod by the Summery Umbrella

When a guest bathroom needed a little curtain love, this rope curtain rod was created in minutes! Unexpected rustic texture… I’m all for that.

Custom bookcase with vintage lockers by Gadget SpongeCustom bookcase with vintage lockers / Gadget Sponge

Brian never disappoints. He’s always coming up with some useful and beautiful combination I would have never dreamed up. Today it’s about adding vintage lockers to a custom bookcase. There is no tutorial for this DIY, but it’s fabulous inspiration all the same! Visit the post for more pics and info.

    • Yes, it has been! I’m always tired.. I think my body is craving the ocean and manicured grounds… in which I have neither of those at home! haha Thanks for stopping by and linking once again, Kathleen!

  1. Thanks for hosting this party – I don’t always have something to share but love to see what others are doing. Have a great weekend!

  2. Thank you for leaving a comment and featuring my Herringbone Pallet Deck. It was a lot of work but well worth the outcome.
I’ve been drooling over your Maui pictures. Now I must talk my hubby into booking that trip. Looks like you’re having a wonderful peace time on the islands. Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Yay!! Always happy to see my pics on Funky Junk Donna! Thanks as always! The other projects were fantastic.

  4. Great party Donna, so much inspiration as always. No wonder I have to read at night to get to sleep, I’m so wired thinking about all the projects I see and want to do.
As I’ve always felt you’re blog is excellent, love all your ideas and what you do. Carry on Happy weekend

  5. Hey Donna,
I always love your parties!! Thanks. This week I’ve linked up an old rusty barb wire wreath that I’ve used as a trellis for beautiful Mandevilla and also, a step by step project using a vintage silver tray. I hope you enjoy them!
    Wishing you God’s best,
    Elaine
