Welcome to Party Junk 258 – an upcycled link party

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Happy weekend everyone!

It’s been a very big and busy week here on Funky Junk… as well as a few other blogs.

12 days of Christmas intro

12 Days of Christmas is an annual event 6 blogs take part in. Each day also hosts a giveaway. If you’d like to see all the new things I and the other blogs have been making thus far, you can visit the series HERE.

NEW NEXT WEEKEND

Next weekend’s linkup will be a little different… there will be MANY themed linkups you can visit, starting bright and early at 6AM EST Saturday! (new time for next weekend only)

12 Days of Christmas Pin board

Did you also know 12 Days of Christmas has its own pin board? Visit all our projects on it HERE.

I will be pinning my favs to various pin boards, and you may even see yours land on the infamous 12 Days of Christmas board hosted by Inspired by Charm. So bring your Christmas best next weekend and you may be pinned. 🙂

Being that I’ve been so busy with new projects, there will only be one linkup today. Here are some fabulous features from last weekend…

Garden ice candles / Garden Therapy

Frozen garden candles / Garden Therapy

This gorgeous project actually made me smile. Every Christmas, my brother brings an ice candle to a place that hosts an event that he’s invited to. While they’re really made for outdoors, we enjoy it for the evening indoors, even if just for a few hours.

Ice candles are gorgeous! The shimmer from the ice is like no other. And Stephanie really breaks down how to make them so easily.

Pallet wood Christmas tree / Scavenger Chic

Pallet wood Christmas tree / Scavenger Chic

Joan had a pallet underneath her deck, and couldn’t resist creating something special for the season. This pallet Christmas tree is so cute! I can see this on a smaller scale as well with some cedar strips.

Modern Galvanized Christmas Wreath - Finding Home
Metal wreath / Finding Home

Laura, a fan of all things galvanized metal, had this vision of a metal wreath for a long time. She finally got down to business and made it a reality. My mind is going wild… should I rust mine or leave as is… ponder… So lovely and great for year around!

Make Me Pretty Again - card catalogue chevron topped table

card file chevron top
Card catalogue with a wood chevron top / Make Me Pretty Again

Beth landed this card file, but decided to do something completely original with it. She chevroned the top. Oh my gosh… can you imagine the time spent?! Take a look at the after.. it’s spectacular!

Fusion Mineral Paint
And in case you missed it, I’m hosting a $100 Fusion Miner Paint giveaway HERE.

It’s a lovely, new paint out that requires no base nor top coat! Very cool! Good luck! 🙂

What have you been up to lately? Let’s see what’s up in this weekend’s linkup below!

  1. Hey! Thanks for sharing the frozen candles, Donna. I’m so happy they bring back memories. It’s been cold enough here lately that they will last for week, right! Brrrr.
