Welcome to Party Junk 288 – an upcycled link party
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another junk filled weekend!
We’re now edging into our 3rd week in Maui. Because we are now officially relaxed, and not feeling the need to sprint off to see it all overnight, I enjoyed my morning kona coffee over your linkups from last week while our backyard (condo) lawn was busy getting mowed for us. Spoiled we most certainly are.
If you’d like to catch up with a few of our adventures from the past week:
A lanai makeover (oh yes I did!)
A tour of what a tropical nursery carries (can you say palm tree seedlings?)
And I’m also challenging myself to take creative daily sunset shots, because no two are ever truly the same… follow the gorgeous fun (including other hot Maui sightings) on my Instagram account HERE.

On with the junk!
And just know? You’re driving me crazy. The only thing that’s missing from our little island oasis is a full blown workshop with all my tools from home. You just can’t take the junk out of a junker it seems… 🙂
Ok, and a cuddle from my cats. I want to fly home to say hello, but come right back… the longer we stay here, the longer I WANT to stay here. I’m in trouble by week 6 me thinks…
Picket fence arrows by Chipping with Charm
Laurel made some great use of picket points to create some pretty cute arrows. But she didn’t use a stencil… read how you can instantly make these too!
Reclaimed wood toolbox by Prodigal Pieces
I’m glad Larissa’s husband’s tolerance was low for chippy wood. This beautiful toolbox or tote was the result. Way to work against the odds, Larissa! Check out this post to visit her workshop… and all that wood!
Coat hook quote sign, by Denise on a Whim
Denise hadn’t belted out a blog post in some time, so she ‘just decided to knock this one out.’. Seriously… this is a major project in my eyes, and it’s a beautful one at that! I’ve always adored productive art and this does it.
Pig graphic transfer with bread boards, by Adirondack Girl at Heart
Diana has a thing for pig art lately, so she decided to create her own. But how she did this was geniously EASY! She shows you how to transfer any print onto wood. Wonderful tutorial with an adorable project.
Reclaimed wood whale art, by Finding Home
Laura’s gorgeous project first inspired me by creativity and beauty alone… but the story attached makes it ultra special. Read where the wood came from and why… and how to make it too!

Thanks Donna for PJ 288. Lucky you have your camera and computer, not being able to junk, fix, change and have junky fun is certainly compensated by your beautiful surroundings and wonderful holiday.
