Welcome to Party Junk 253 – upcycled trays
Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hello, hello friends! Welcome back to Party Junk, with upcycled trays!
I LOVE TRAYS! They are productive, make great centrepieces, and save table tops acting as a huge coaster. And they are super easy to make out of nearly anything flat. Just add a handle!
Here are a few upcycled trays I’ve created in the past…
Pipe handled tray for a laptop / Funky Junk Interiors
Just add pipe hardware to reclaimed wood for a little industrial detail.
Branch handled tray / Funky Junk Interiors
The branch handles steal the show on this reclaimed wood tray. So easy to make!
Pallet wood old sign Market tray / Funky Junk Interiors
A few pallet wood planks and a decal stencil is all this one took.
Checkerboard and yardstick tray / Funky Junk Interiors
Collect wooden checkerboards and you’ll end up with a tray that’s already decorated.
Pottery Barn inspired Bingo Tray / Funky Junk Interiors
A little upcycled tongue and groove wood and a decal stencil made this tray come to life.
Firetruck crate sidetable with a build in tray / Funky Junk Interiors
Don’t overlook the idea of making a lid to something into a tray. A side table, tray AND storage all packed into one.

Hi Donna,
I love all your trays. I have some pallet wood that I have plans for. Now that my daughter has went off to college…maybe, I can focus on working on those projects. And thank you so much for hosting this lovely party. Have an awesome weekend.
Greetings,
Thanks for the inspiration, for I know what I’m going to do today, make a tray. I want it to be like a plain small box, but with pictures on it that tell a story. I love your site!
One Love
There’s definitely an understated charm about these trays! Amazing idea.
