Happy spring Friday!
I actually mowed my lawn for the first time yesterday! While I’m not super stoked that the duty is officially a weekly thing again, I was excited with the anticipation of warmer temps and more sunny days! So, I’ll take it.
I have been bike riding daily which has been amazing! However my DIY last week was continuing to work on the guest room project, (I share early project peeks on Instagram Stories HERE if you care to follow along) AND collecting a new curb-side found toy for the room I’ll be making over next week! And this is why my projects take forever. I keep adding stuff… can you relate?
Be sure to subscribe via email HERE if you ‘d like to get these new posts emailed to you once published!
I also did a DIY, sharing my secrets on how I achieve an authentic grain sack look with easy found supplies.
I personally am smitten with this ‘look’. It’s got a timeless vintage-feel and I’m loving how I can finally customize my own grain sacks with my stuff! (neutrals all the way please).
And I must say, everything lately is looking ‘spring’, including these lovely highlights from last week’s party…
This fresh looking perfectly themed Laundry sign project nearly makes me WANT to do my Laundry! And just goes to show, you don’t have to paint a sign on wood.
Find a wonderful tutorial with full stencil details in this post.
This takes a spring project to an all new level does it not?! What a wonderfully creative way to display those coloured Easter eggs!
Check out the others in this post as well!
While this post is really about learning the right questions to ask before you redo your furniture, this little branch and bird motif stole the spring-themed show! I love how the wood and paint play with each other with just the right amount of design. Isn’t it lovely?
Check out the wonderful furniture tips in this post!
If you wish for a quick touch of spring, there isn’t anything much easier than painting a few hard covered books in your favorite spring tones! Love this look and you can bet my mind is working overtime on what I’d do with my own…
Visit the post to see how this looks from the ‘other side’ as well… I love both!
It’s like Peeps coming to life! Such a sweet shadow-boxed idea utilizing an advertising box with a few cut up cards.

This teapot and spoon wind chime couldn’t be any more whimsical if it tried! Bet it sounds as sweet as it looks too…
