Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 528

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Hi all!

So nice to see you again for another weekend of inspiring junk!

Even I got busy! Aside from painting trim on the house (which I completed btw!!) I even managed to start my yearly workshop gut and purge so I can plan a better layout! I’m still getting the finishing touches done on the new screen door which I hope to share next week!

I even managed to get a creative post up this week which I positively love…

Garden-themed scrap wood stenciled walkway by Funky Junk Interiors

Garden-themed scrap wood stenciled walkway by Funky Junk Interiors

This little wood scrap walkway really dressed up the front yard in a hurry! And with my eventual goal of getting more reclaimed wood near the house outdoors, this gets me one step closer! Click for a new way to (hopefully) help keep these boards from deteriorating more-so for a good long time! So easy!

It felt good to get working with reclaimed wood again. It never seems to fail…

It’s also fun to see what you come up with that may or may not involve reclaimed wood! There’s at least one idea I will be nearly copying to the letter soon! Here’s a few amazing highlights from last week’s party…

There’s this restaurant in Maui that has an entire store filled with an amazing collection of coffee mills / grinders. So this post made me smile BIG! This post shares a lovely way to display them all in a group! Just love how the distressing (also shown) was done on those shelves! Click the link to see how.

  1. Whooopitty, whoop 😀 Thanks so much for featuring our bird feeder Donna. With Winter knocking on our doors here in South Africa, our feathered friends are really enjoying it.

BTW, love, love, love your new garden path

  2. Thanks so much for featuring our Paint-dipped marble candle holders. Such as? All right? Here in Holland everything is calmer. There are already fewer people infected with the corona virus. I hope that this time of great insecurity will pass quickly. Good weekend. Xoxo

  3. Miss Donna, sometimes i am utterly convinced that the creative muses are playing with us… because at the same time you were re-designing your stellar salvaged wood plank walkway, i was re-imagining my rustic salvaged wood signpost! and we both did it with paint! i love the results we both came up with as it really does show how simple a decor makeover can be, and i hope that it’s okay to share my re-purposed repurposed project for a second time 😉

  4. The walkway turned out so cute, Donna! Glad you’re getting outside and enjoying some creativity! Been rainy here; hard to get outside projects done:( Thanks for hosting!

  5. I love your wooden walkway, Donna! Great features this week too. Have a good weekend! Would you believe we had snow yesterday? Finger’s crossed for a nice weekend.

  6. Thank you so much for the feature. If I ever make it to Maui I’m going to have to find the restaurant you mentioned. Thanks, too, for hosting the party. Have a great weekend.

  7. What a great round up! I love the RESORT bird centre. Such a great idea!
Your reclaimed wood walkway is amazing Donna. I love it.
I took a break from creating to spend a weeks vacation painting my kitchen cupboards and 2 free standing cupboards in my kitchen. I recently painted my walls simply white. When I did that it made my cream colours look dirty I had the vacation time to use and home anyhow, so away I sent.
But! Now I am back to creating 🙂
