Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 529
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy weekend, all!
What have you been up to this past week? In between bike rides, I took a massive haul to the dump from cleaning out my garage workshop (WOW what a difference that makes in added space!), selling some stuff on my fav FB bidding site (forever purging here!), but the most exciting of all?
I finished up my screen door and wrote probably the biggest post on how to make it ever invented! haha Oh sheesh. But by golly, it’s up and it’s as fabulous as I had hoped it would be!
The golden ticket this round was getting a new tool toy to help me get the job done which I also share in the post. And I also used pet screen for the first time! Any working experience with that stuff? It’s so expensive, but let’s hope it lasts as my cats love to mountain (window screen) climb now and then…
I also bought a few new tools so I can hang a door for the first time from a door slab for my son. Egads… nothing like learning on the spot! I have visions of hanging vintage doors in my house so at least my dream plan there can materialize once I sorda know what I’m doing!
I’m bent on getting stuff done I don’t know how to do this summer and boy oh boy… the learning curve is deep, but so satisfying! Do you thrive on learning new things too? What do you want to learn?
Back to you, let’s re-visit last week’s party with some fabulous features of yours…
DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 529 features:
I’ve always loved the idea of a sundial outdoors, but this one on a milk can is the coolest yet! Isn’t this pretty? Click the link for all the details that went into making this a side table as well!
When I visit A Crafty Mix, I’m always immersed into a world with new words and ideas that I’ve never seen before. And this adorable project tops them! A fairly village combined with a plant… so adorable! Click the link to see how those adorable fairy houses are made… so cool!
Have a few jeans that have seen better days? They may look even better if you hang them on a wall! This pin board is so cool, and the hexigon shapes allow you to arrange and design your own take! The link attached shares how to do it.
If you love vintage, you’re going to love scrolling this post. Lora shares how she turned printable art into works of art thanks to vintage-inspired ways to frame simple prints! This is a lovely tour filled with antique accents to carry the theme through. Click the link to see how!
Deb obviously has Hawaii on her mind, by the looks of her new Tiki bar I spotted on Facebook, AND this adorable colourful directional sign! Isn’t this a feast for the eyes? Click the link to see the before…
Grab those cheap flip flops next time you visit a store, because this summery flip flop hello sign is SO adorable and easy to make! Click the link for full instructions.
It’s not what you think! If you look closely, those tents are 3D… While this sign is so beautifullly hand painted, the tents positively tell the whole story on this one. Click the link to see how easy they are to make!
