3000 Followers Event – Q & A

Q: How did you grow your blog?

A: Trust me… I shake my head everyday I sign in. I’m still surprised others out there like what I like. 🙂

In a nutshell, I believe it has to do with blog content and how it’s delivered. I even wrote a post on the topic which is HERE. The info sounds very elementary, however do the checklist with each post you make and see if that makes a difference for you!

In fact, I’ve written ALOT about all kinds of things. But they tend to get lost in the shuffle of it all, especially when newcomers arrive on my blogging doorstep.

Blog growing and newbie tips can be found HERE

Blog photography with a point and shoot HERE.

And let’s just mention the vast amount of labels I tag posts with. (located at the very bottom of the blog)

  1. Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Happy 3,000 followers….that’s a huge achievement! I hopeo t be right there with ya….someday. By the time catch up I’m sure you’ll have millions of followers!

Humm is this where I’m suppose to ask a question? Well I would love to know how you learned to create all your graphics. Do you use a certain type of software? I’m a little lost when it comes to stuff like that. I would love to be able to create buttons for linky parties and cute post coordinating graphics but have no idea how!

  2. Okay I would like to know the best way to determine how much to sell an item for? Double what you paid for it? Time investment, materials investment etc… I’m just starting to sell the items I refinish and am having a hard time with pricing.

    Thanks Donna!

  3. A big congratulations on your hitting 3000. It seems like no time ago you were just 2000. Way to grow!! ou know I’m you’re biggest cheerleader (Yes I am Kolein! Stop it – yes I am). 🙂

I’d like to know what a typical day in the life of Donna is like. A timeline of sorts. Who do run into and what do you talk about? Where do you frequent where “everybody knows your name?”, what are your favorite places in your town that are a part of your daily/semi-daily life. What do the people in your town know about you, and what type of friends do you have in real life? Who do you have coffee with? Those kind of things.

In other words, who is the “non-blogger Donna”?

I would love to see a video where your friends tell what they know about you/think about you/how you net, etc. I think that would be really fun!

  4. See, Donna, there are others who want to know!!!

Well, at least me and Lori!!!

Celebratory shout outs at you from the Carlson household!!! 3000 +

Is Polly trying to compete with me? Polly!!!!!!!!!!! We’re in this “thang” together!!!! Love ya!

  5. LOL!! You gals were pretty easy on me! I’ll do up a post with the answers soon.

The hunk in my life is named Mac. And he’s my bestest blogging buddy ever. 🙂

Blind dates?!? I musta missed THAT memo… Kolein, you are TROUBLE.

    Donna

  6. I love your blog! I don’t have a blog of my own because I am not that creative but I love stealing ideas from you! Thank you for sharing 🙂

    I do need some advice..

I have so many projects I would love to do, however my 2 year old takes up a lot of my time. Any advice when the best time to work would be. I tend to not start on something because I’m afraid I won’t finish it. How do you follow through with your projects without getting bored and moving onto something else?

  7. I always come back to your blog for ideas and different ways to get stuff accomplished. Have you ever had to make wood look weathered or make it look like barn wood quickly?
