DIY salvaged Junk Projects 345
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Don’t you love the start of a Friday? I love how my phone stops ringing compared to the rest of the week. It’s as if the weekend promises downtime, so you can play moreso at your own leisure, rather than beating deadlines or the clock.
And I can’t wait to fill you in on what I’m going to do with this weekend… more after it transpires!
Which day of the week is your fav, and why?
This past week, I was relatively productive. I told you about my new bidding hobby that is helping loosen up the load around here, as well as harvested a hydrangea bush that landed on my fireplace mantel. Whoop! Finally some fall decor!
Other things are slowly transpiring, although it’s slow moving. 3 new ‘all season’ stencil releases are coming soon, so that means, a few more projects are transpiring in the house. Yes!
We also have a new coffee shop in town that’s all about reclaimed decorating. Coffee AND junk! What mix could possibly be better? I’ll try and snag some shots of it at some point to show you.
I’ve also done some weeding, and flowerbed enhancing. Now where are those pictures again…
Lots of fun to come! Until then, thanks again for coming by with your own junk!
Here’s a few fab highlights from last week..
Reclaimed wood rustic pumpkins, by Finding Home Farms
If you love pumpkins, but don’t care for the slimy carving part, perhaps this adorable reclaimed version is more for you! Aren’t these gorgeous? Love the branch stems and varying heights.
Upcycled antique hand cart coffee table, by Scavenger Chic
This rustic coffee table is not one of those high priced rail way cart coffee tables. This is made from a DOLLY! Coolest base idea ever! Great instructions on how to build this entire thing from scratch.
Rustic fall decorating with shutters and repurposed finds, by Cherished Bliss
The first thing that came to mind when I scrolled through this fall home tour is simplicity with normal, gorgeous things. It doesn’t scream FALL DECOR, but yet with the warmth of the woods and antiques, you certainly ‘feel’ it. The simplicity also allows your attention to draw towards the main focuses, in this case the shutters.
Take your time through this scroll and focus on the star of the show in each picture. Delightful!
Less truly is more.
Upcycled cutting board coffee sign, by Sadie Seasongoods
If you love rustic, wooden signs, don’t overlook the lowly cutting board. I’ve started collecting them myself. They don’t take much room, and the surface is well loved. As in this perfect case, for an instant coffee mug older sign.
Pottery Barn inspired metal pumpkins, by The Navage Patch
If you are an industrial farmhouse lover, this super cool metal pumpkin DIY is for you!
Shed turned whimsical playhouse, on Lolly Jane
If you have an outdoor shed that’s just sitting there storing junk you no longer need, you may want to consider turning it into a little getaway instead. In this case, a kid’s playroom. This one’s a must peek!
Purple and lime hydrangea fall mantel, by Funky Junk Interiors
This round, I allowed a newly harvested hydrangea bush to dictate my fall colours. And here’s what transpired after the ENTIRE BUSH landed on my mantel…

Thank you for featuring my coffee mug sign!! I can’t seem to pass up cutting boards since this project. 😉 and holy moly your mantel…with the lime and the purple and the reclaimed wood. I am all a flutter… <3
Hi Donna – if you do start another purge/clean/etc. post it would be great. Loved your last one and got lots done/fixed/purged/cleaned/repurposed – good memories. Thank you for PJ 345 today. Such clever bloggers featured and joining in. Just read your post about selling extra stuff – what a good way to reclaim space !

Your mantel is really unique and so striking Donna 🙂 Thanks so much for the party–
Thank you so much for the party Donna and I look forward to seeing some photos of the new coffee shop by your home. It sounds wonderful. And believe it or not Monday is my favorite day of the week. I work on Saturdays, which is usually my fourth or fifth day in a row. Sunday takes me a while to recoup and Monday everyone in the house goes back to work and the house is quiet with just me and my dog. I tell my dog ‘YEAH. Just you and me and we can play!’ Have a wonderful weekend.
My favorite day is Friday! Our weekend is usually late Thursday/Friday for us! Looking forward to your new stencils! I have a few projects in line for your Christmas collection!
The party is full of inspiration! lovin those metal pumpkins & your hydrangeas!
Donna,
Another great Friday night party. Have a fantastic weekend!
Thanks so much for featuring the pumpkins, Donna! Wishing you a wonderful weekend! 🙂
