Is spring fever striving to enter your lives yet? With the sun finally making an appearance on the west coast, I was inspired to accomplish two firsts of the year… outdoors!
This past week on Funky Junk
The season’s first bike ride adventure felt SO GOOD! And I was so inspired by the colourless palette out there, which happen to BE my colours. 🙂 Pretty outdoor trail tour inside this post.
Add a garden book landing in my lap, this year’s first garden project transpired, in the form of an oversized tulip crate! My place has never looked so good in February…
And now it’s suppose to snow again. Nooooooo…..
Oh well. At least I can be encouraged to DIY indoors, thanks to YOUR inspiration!

With tulip crates / trays all the rage, Susan creates an easy and beautiful way to recreate the look using paint sticks!
I also am completely smitten with the white and green. Doesn’t this just scream spring tulips? Stripes were made with a stencil, all info inside the post.

Cake pans all over are destined to become wall hanging herb gardens, after this clever project! Being able to view the layers of soil is an additional way to get those gorgeous natural elements indoors.

This whimsical garden junk project just goes to prove, layering works! A combo of a table base, wooden spool and natural moss make one cool focal point!

My junk this week is more of a pile of great salvaged stuff that will eventually be mixed with other great junk to make something different.
Thanks Donna for including my sign in with the features this week, always a nice surprise to see something I made appear while scrolling through a post.
We got some of that snow last night but it was more like a thick cold white layer of almost slush to be scraped off the car before DGS got his ride to school rather than the shovel the sidewalk before it gets walked on and turns to ice.
Always look forward to your DIY Salvaged 367th Junk Projects posts. Hope the beginning of another junk project was ok to add this week.
