Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 383
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello weekend junkers!
How is June treating you so far? I admit I was a little caught off guard just now when I noticed we are already half way through it! Whaaa?
I guess I should focus more. Which was actually what one of my blog posts was about this past week. I’ve been taking some counseling and fancy pants courses, and one of them hit on how to break free from stressful times through the art of focus and diversion. My own focus was on a bike ride studying trees of all things… Read up to see how to do this yourself HERE
And I also made something super cool! An old mirror I’ve had forever got a new outfit (see HERE), which turned out to be a must keep now! Sorry thrift store… we shall meet again another time. : )
So let’s see what you’ve been up to during last weekend’s fab party…
Upcycled scrap wood wall key holder with charming village, by Pillar Box Blue
I have never seen scrap wood turn into something so charming! Add nails for useful too! I want this. Wouldn’t it make a super sweet house warming gift with ones street name attached?!
Scrap wood coastal tea light candle holders, by H2O Bungalow
Some scrap wood pieces got a pickling wash treatment, that helped create a little piece of the beach, candle style! I love how the candles were elevated in this clever build.
Coastal beach tray, by H2O Bungalow
LOVE the play on beachy wood, rope and the perfect stencils used for this charming tray.
Fishing basket front door planter, by Cottage In The Oaks
Don’t have the perfect place for flowers this summer? Why not hang them from your front door?
This little fishing basket becomes a clever door planter wreath of sorts. What a unique space saver!
Milk painted forest on a dresser, by Recreated Designs
Raise your hand if you immediately feel like being in a log cabin in the woods by the lake.
This sweet dresser design stole my getaway-lovin’ heart! It’s just PERFECT. Did you also catch that the drawers were slightly different tones? Subtle, beautiful effect.
Painted carpet on a concrete slab, by So Much Better With Age
Anyone else with an ugly, cracked stained cement slab? This one was instantly revamped into an outdoor carpet with the simplicity of thick stripes. It’s gorgeous! Take this tour to see the before.
Decoupaged reproduction antique bucket design, by Knick of Time
She had me at galvanized bucket, but after this label addition?! When a reproduction looks like the real thing, YOU NAILED IT.
Make an Antiques reclaimed wood mirror frame on top of a plain one, by Funky Junk Interiors
I’ve had this tall skinny mirror in my bedroom for 10 years. But I only learned to truly LOVE it this past week after creating a super fun and easy to make frame! Easy to do for most any other plain mirror.
What did you make this past week? Link up below!
