Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 403
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy junk weekend party to ya!
So, this past week has been a weird one. I decided to do some major back to bones cleaning before Christmas HERE, hoping that would trigger me into action.
It did! Well, I got the tree up, but it’s not done. Instead, I got to run for some emerg dental help (yay!) and fussed over a foot x-ray. I’m starting to think when you are in your 50’s, the only Christmas decorating we ought to be doing is watching a Christmas Hallmark show while resting up our weary bones and such…
Then enough was enough. I super sprinted into my workshop (before anything else on me broke!) and came up with a fun little project, that triggered me in the right direction alllll over again.
Wood scrap buffalo check and snowflake Christmas ornaments by Funky Junk Interiors
Disappointed to find what a craft store didn’t carry, I shopped my workshop instead, sliced up some wood and created cute tree ornaments! My bare big Christmas tree will surely thank me for it I’m sure…
And here are some fab highlights from last weekend’s phenomenal party… I kid you not. Go visit. I had selected over 15 features but had to cut back otherwise you’d be scrolling until tomorrow!

This is such a thoughtful idea that is equally beautiful! I love the use of the random spaces for whatever fit just so. And aren’t those tiny ornaments the cutest?

No need to spend a zillion dollars on a vintage sleigh when you can make your own! This is a super cool project for those that love to embellish with paint and stencils. You won’t reduce antique value painting this beauty… but you may increase it!

Thanks Donna for your 403rd DIY Salvaged Junk. The board for the egg sign was salvaged and the child sized chair was thrifted and a bit fixed up but mostly left alone. I could not believe the 15 degree weather this week. Got my dahlia tubers dug out, picked the last of the (very small leaves) of kale. Did some front yard clean up. Totally unexpected activities for this late in November. Have a great week.
Joy
Darling, Joy!
And yes, the weather was outstanding. It was 21 degrees out my way, it felt like summer again! Now it if would only last… haha
