Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 426
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello friends! So here we are again, with so many projects that leave me scratching my head, wondering why I can’t seem to pull more off myself…
Ah! I know better than to compare. Everyone’s story is different so you just need to accommodate around that.
I have started gutting a bathroom closet but it got put on the back burner rapidly due to other more important things rising to the top. Welcome to my life.
Something I HAVE been doing lots of though are daily bike rides. In fact, I did a post this week that captured a secret meadow I never really paid attention to. Along with a video!
So this weekend I’m going to hack at that closet thing and see what I can show you next week. Maybe if I plan a week in advance… 😉
Here’s some gorgeous projects you brought over from last week’s party…
Grain sack striped file holder wall planter by Organized Clutter
Gorgeous! Every square inch. I just adore the crate frame to give this piece more presence.
Equally cool is seeing how this is used for all the seasons! Stencil details are inside this post.
Decorative tin can planters by Pillar Box Blue
Talk about a summer feast for the eyes!
Barn door wall hooks by Knick of Time
Pretty AND productive! Some things don’t need to be messed with at all, do they?
Pallet wood enhanced TV tray by Scavenger Chic
I’ve always thought reclaimed wood enhances anything. But in the case of this TV tray, it made it twice as pretty AND useful! Love the bottom tray idea.
Flower seed packet wrapped tin vases by Homeward Found
Some projects get super involved. That is not the case here… even though it’s just as beautiful as one that may be… easy AND pretty!
Decoupaged kid’s art breakfast-in-bed tray by So Much Better With Age
This sweet little tray has a special message on top that will last forever. What would your tray say?
What have you made this past week? Link up below!

Hi Donna – what lovely places you discover on your bike rides ! Thank you for your 426th DIY Salvaged Junk Project.
Joy
Thank you so much for featuring my Marimekko cans. Have a lovely weeekend.
Lots of great projects today in the features! Thanks for the feature of my barnwood frame/wall bin project! The grain sack stripe stencils added the right fun touch!
Good morning, Donna
Another great DIY Salvaged Junk Project weekend. Thank you Donna. I just finished painting each slat, bright colors on a turbine. It is what I call a whirly gig that appear on roofs for ventilation. I think? Mine is sitting atop a pressure tank. Definitely a conversation piece when we have visitors.
Have a great weekend!
thank you so much for including my posie pail project in your feature this week, Miss Donna! i made some using simple veggie labels, too, which look very rustic and will serve to hold cuttings from our herb garden that we give to neighbors later in the summer… tin cans are just so plentiful that we gotta’ think up lots of ideas to use them, right?!!! 😉 happy weekend! ~ deb
So love the application of the grain sack stripe to just about everything and really enjoyed seeing the projects with it on, today.
Also, what could be easier to “use” myself than the flower packet to decorate a jar of flowers. Love this idea. And could match the seeds to the flowers. I must remember this when planting …
Again, Donna, thanks for sharing. Brenda
