Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 428
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Welcome back to the party!
Thanks for bearing with me as I took a mini break from all things blog last weekend. You can read more about my musings on where I’ve been at in The Next Chapter.
I ran away to a little cottage 12 minutes from me which kinda flipped my world upside down in the very best of ways. I mean… hello? How soon can I move in for good?!
This little stay was exactly what I needed. It removed me from mental and physical hardship, transforming me into this perfect world that allowed me to celebrate every square creaky wood floor inch! I have so much to show and tell you it’s overwhelming. I wasn’t going to write, however the lake made me do it. And gave me an outlet to share what was on my heart at that current time.
Scanning your own projects made me want to dive right back in it again. Thanks for the kick! I’ve already been painting and it feels GREAT!
Here are a few wonderful highlights from the last scheduled party…
Garden hose outdoor summer wreath by Lora B
This charming project says all the garden junk things, does it not?! I’ve never wanted a few grungy garden hoses more than I do right now!
Solar plant pot water fountain by The Interior Frugalista
This project TOTALLY inspired me. Here’s how to create a water feature without all the fancy pants plumbing and electricity. Any water proof container will work! I need me one of these pronto.
Paint dipped picture frames wall art by Homeward Found Decor
And just how can a few picture frames elevate to a level in which I would never have even thought of? By paint dipping them of course! Isn’t this a stunning visual? I also am completely smitten with their colour and chosen prints in tones of brown / rust. Gorgeous!
Decoupaged map dish by Pillar Box Blue
Loving the look of vintage maps, this project totally won me over. This post comes with vintage map printables too!
However, if maps aren’t your thing, choose your design and make it yours!
Drawer laptop station by My DIY OL
I get this! Laptops are all fine and well, however they are positioned too low for the good of my neck health. Here’s how an old customized drawer can come to your rescue!
Solar panel patio lights on a ladder by Fresh Vintage by Lisa S
I have the ladder and I have the jars. Now I just need the secret ingredient to make this charming no further work project work! LOVE this look so much!
Vintage sieve summer wreath by Adirondack Girl At Heart
“Why didn’t I think of this?” I ask myself, since I have a couple of these in my junk stash. They give a wreath a neat industrial edge! Making one!
Buffalo checked stool and grain sack striped planter by Organized Clutter
Sometimes wood tones are great. Other times, they are completely woken up with a fresh coat of WOW!
Subtle yet huge transformations with stencils, with full info in the post.
What have you made this past week? Link up below!
~ Blah blah linkup rules ~
1. Upcycled, DIY home decor projects only please. Items for sale must be in tutorial form on your blog. NO FOOD NOR NEW CRAFTS please.
2. Linkups must be your own work, not another’s.
3. Only projects new to this link party please. Repeats are welcome in secondary themed linkups only.
4. By linking up here, you’re cool with me featuring you on my blog, Pinterest, Twitter, FJI Facebook with a link back to you, or its own new LINK WIDGET with no additional permission required.
5. No need to link back! Pinning the first image instead would be very appreciated. Thank you! : )
Wow, this is a blast from the past. Linking up to a linky party! I am glad I still remembered how to do it. And can you imagine this is nr 428 for you! My golly that is a lot of junk collected 🙂
Happy to be here again and thanks for the opportunity.
Welcome back Marianne! I’m so happy you’ve come back to our little blogging world again! Your projects and home have always given me such peace when visiting! Loving your ‘vases’… I’ve always felt those cans and jars were gorgeous myself!
Good to hear you had a refreshing mini break. Thank you for featuring my map trinket dish.
Claire, you bring something so special to each party… there’s such charm in every project you do. Thanks for sharing them here with us! (and you are most welcome!)
Thank you so much, Donna for featuring my solar water fountain, I can hear it trickling from my open office window as I party with you. I’ve been to Cultus Lake a few times but that little cabin makes me want to overnight there for a few days during our next jaunt to Vancouver Island. Thanks for the party and have a great weekend 🙂
I am totally smitten with this little gadget! Do you know if they’d work in shade or do they need full sun? I imagine sun, but I’d LOVE a little fountain on my covered patio…
I hate to disappoint, Donna but because the solar pump doesn’t have a battery to hold the charge, it requires full sun to operate.
Thank you for hosting the party. I’m glad you enjoyed your time away. I love the floors in that cabin!!!
Aren’t those floors just the BEST?! I’ve been tempted to paint mine ever since I got home! I’m getting weaker by the minute… LOL
Thanks for featuring my Garden Hoses Wreath, Donna! Still have more hoses, so better make a couple more! Glad you got to get away for a few! So good for all of us!
