Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 482
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello all!
I have some SUPER exciting news… while you are reading this, my plane has just taken flight to my most favorite place on earth…
This girl needs her tropical fix. I know I’ve been slowing down on featuring on social media and so forth (and in general, many other areas as well). Guess I’m just long overdue to just drop the ball for a spell. So if you want to keep up with what’s going on, visit me on Instagram Stories HERE.
I’m still uncertain if I’ll take a true hiatus while away, so please check in next weekend (and a few more moving forward) in case I catch my 2nd wind and put up a party. I do plan to do lots of soul searching and journaling while away so I may share part of that process on the blog as well.
If you’d like to be emailed when a new post goes up, feel free to subscribe HERE
In other news, I did manage to get one project done which I’m so happy with!
Stenciled argyle TV tray makeover by Funky Junk Interiors
I love the unexpected on wood projects and this one definitely does it for me! It’s a great new stencil design that makes this effect effortless! This post includes stencil info plus a video of the process.
Back to you, here’s some fun summer highlights of yours from last weekend’s party…
Rustic rope charger placemats by Yarn Scissors Silk
It’s NOT what you think! These are not adorable chargers you purchase from a store. These were handmade from rope! Egads!!! This tutorial is amazing and I’m so into trying this one out!
Enhanced dollar tree book by Knick of Time
Whether you journal, or just desire some pretty home decor with a running theme, you must check this post out! SUCH a wonderful idea. Full info on where to find these easy sought after supplies and be prepared to 3D up your own book covers!
Junk garden tour by Organized Clutter
Miss Carlene is in full swing with her junk gardening! This charming post takes you on a tour along the side of her house where she has this amazing outdoor sink display as well. A must peek!
Ok. I couldn’t resist. Here’s a sneak peek of the sink… isn’t this flower basket the best?! Stencil details and the entire sink display is inside this post.
Vintage bike garden art by Lora B
If this adorable bike display doesn’t inspire you to go seek out a vintage bike, I’d be very surprised! What a great way to decorate the side of a garden shed! Instant 3D with planters. I think I’m going to hang up my rusty old vintage bike on my garden fence once I return home. I’m totally inspired!
What did you make this past week? Link up below!
~ Blah blah linkup rules ~
1. Upcycled, DIY home decor projects only please. Items for sale must be in tutorial form on your blog. NO FOOD NOR NEW CRAFTS please.
2. Linkups must be your own work, not another’s.
3. Only projects new to this link party please, to keep things fresh. Repeats may be deleted.
4. By linking up here, you’re cool with me featuring you on my blog, Pinterest, Twitter, FJI Facebook with a link back to you, or its own new LINK WIDGET with no additional permission required.
5. No need to link back to the party! Would love it if you pinned the first gallery picture instead. Thank-you!
I hope you arrived safely and have a great holiday.
Thank-you Claire! Yes, I got here safely and am currently unpacking and settling in. The air smells fragrant and a little salty… and the trade winds are the best natural air conditioner in the world. Happy to be back!
Hi Donna,
Love all the ideas….especially the vintage bicycle and rope chargers. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for featuring my hanging vintage bike, Donna! Guess I took a little week hiatus, too. Trying to get back into the swing after the big grad party.Talk about crash and burn! Jealous of your solo get away! Have fun!
