Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 492
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello and a happy party weekend to you!
Call me late in the game, however even with the cooler weather ahead, I got a brainstorm that I just HAD to implement!
Pallet wood sofa turned lounger for an outdoor patio by Funky Junk Interiors
After glancing at a friend’s summer patio, I knew I wanted a lounger… or 2. But after pricing the super comfy ones, I decided to bypass the retail purchase and shuffle around what I had. Then BOOM, I was done! Without spending a dime…
This post also shares two easy DIY tutorials with two new paint methods showcased in super short videos. If you stencil, you’ll get something out of both!
.
In other news, I got the nudge to start writing about my travels again after someone came forward and was so impressed with all my sole travels of late… that I haven’t blogged about. Oops.
I have so many brave-girl stories to share and with hopefully more to follow, so I drafted 2 this week alone! Hope you’re in the mood for some inspiration abroad because it’s on its way soon! And one post is so incredibly overloaded gorgeous I want to run right back there for fall yet again… more soon!
Ok, let’s get back to you! I am in LOVE with these fabulous highlights from last week’s party so here they are…
Did you know….
If you click the links to each post below, you are thanking the bloggers for generously sharing their work AND a much longer term bonus is if you pin from their own blog posts!
We appreciate your visits so much!
Ping pong paddle pumpkins by Homeward Found – click to tutorial
I for one am THRILLED to see Deb posting again, because this genius idea needed a blog-home! Yay! And be sure to click through this post because the other ideas are just as adorable!!!!
Deb, does this mean you’re out of blog retirement?! See you again soon I hope!
Monkey pod apple bowls by Sadie Seasongoods – click to tutorial
You know all those funky bowls and trivets in the thrift stores? You know… those. Well, this post is all kinds of fall joy utilizing a few… don’t they just look so happy?!
Tennis racket fall pumpkin memo board by Homeroad – click to tutorial
This just has to be the cutest memo board that ever lived! Pumpkin-style of course! I love how it can double as a memo board or picture frame. What would you use it for?
Concrete and twine pumpkins by Wisconsin Magpie – click to tutorial
If you love industrial neutrals, this project will be right up your pumpkin’-lovin’ alley! This technique could make anything look like concrete! Boy are my creative gears turning now…
Illuminated Halloween bottles by Pillar Box Blue – click to tutorial
These Halloween bottles remind me of Lite Brite, but only much larger! But I can’t say this enough… you’ve got to click through to this post to see how this was done. So SO genius!
Pallet stamped crate on pin legs by Organized Clutter – click to tutorial and stencil details
Sometimes repainting an antique or crates can be iffy. But I can attest, this crate revamp complete with crate stamps looks authentic… I have a few duplicates in my own stash! But add the pin legs and it’s now officially functional furniture! I adore this piece so much. Click through to see the before.
What up-cycled projects did you make this past week? Link up below!
~ Blah blah linkup rules ~
1. Upcycled, DIY home decor projects only please. Items for sale must be in tutorial form on your blog. NO FOOD NOR NEW CRAFTS please.
2. Linkups must be your own work, not another’s.
3. Only projects new to this link party please, to keep things fresh. Repeats may be deleted.
4. By linking up here, you’re cool with me featuring you on my blog, Pinterest, Twitter, FJI Facebook with a link back to you, or its own new LINK WIDGET with no additional permission required.
5. No need to link back to the party in your posts. I would love it if you shared the first gallery picture instead. Thank-you!
awwww, thank you so much for featuring my crazy ping pong paddle pumpkins / cacti, Miss Donna! i just have to laugh at how the most off-the-wall things pop into my brain in the middle of the night (the muses, they are partyin’ it up!!) and when a project works, ya’ just want to share it!
it was fun to be able to participate here in your linkup again – i am so honored being featured, but mostly touched by your sweet words. i’m not giving up retirement – but i have a few more ideas up my sleeve and in process, so it’s looking like there will, indeed, be a few new posts coming up 😉 maybe one next week! ~ deb
Thanks for hosting, Donna. I love the stenciled sofa! The look of drop cloth or canvas and black bold stenciling is perfect with reclaimed wood!
Enjoying the unique and clever repurposed Fall ideas featured and shared this week. Always leave the party inspired. Thanks for hosting and have a great week!
Thanks for the share and coming over, Marie! Always a pleasure to see you!
I would love to win the crate collection stencils. I absolutely love them and your posts
