Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 516
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Greetings all!
I’m so proud of myself. I was about to decorate for spring this week when I realized I hadn’t taken a shoot of winter yet… so I rolled up my sleeves in one afternoon, cleaned the house (cat hair) and BAM! I now have a winter tour up!
Why I dragged my feet on this one for nearly 2 months I don’t know. I suppose I told myself it was too simple. But my decorating is morphing to a cleaner aesthetic, so I suppose I’d better show what I do or else I may as well turn off the blog period!
Ski-themed winter decorating tour – with new pictures and projects!
Anyway, I share why blue became my colour of choice with a few new projects I made especially for this winter look!
DONE! Time for spring… right after you pin a few of your fav winter things of course… HAHA
Other than that amazing and unexpected endeavour, I paused the deep cleaning so I could take care of other kinds of business, such as updating the will, adjusting life insurance to what’s relevant, etc. Not exciting stuff but all those decisions take time and eat up a lot of brain power… and honestly, they are necessary. I’ll write about it once I’m a little more in the finalized steps because I have lots to share on all that.
I also have passed through the final edits on an exciting new stencil kit that is perfect for spring / summer / everyday! I’ll give you a hint… it has something to do with one of my passions… it will be listed soon so stay tuned!
Now that you know what’s new in my world, what’s new in yours?
I see by these adorable features you’ve been creatively busy too! Here’s some highlights from last week’s party…

These egg-shaped candles are adorable… but what makes this vignette extra special are the glitter filled egg shells that I’d bet sparkle even more against flickering candle light! This is such an on-point Easter decoration! Click the link for all the details.

I could ‘hear’ the contractor’s eyes roll (LOL) while reading this story… but good on ya Deb for believing in the plan even if he didn’t! This galvanized buckets water fountain is WAY cool and is actually pretty easy to put together! Click the link to learn all the tricks on this one! I want one!

Donna, thank you so much for featuring my eggs. Have a beautiful week ♥
Thanks for the feature Donna! My favorite smell in the whole world is laundry dried on a clothesline 🙂 I love these projects! My Dad was a carpenter. I wish I had one of his aprons. Just love that project 🙂
I’ve putting creating on hold for just a short while, to purge and clean kitchen cabinets, and I’m painting the kitchen today. I can’t wait to see your new stencils 🙂
Such fun features! Popping over to Pin all of them! Thanks for hosting, Donna!
