Hi all!

How have you been doing?

This past week I was easy on myself. I kinda felt like I ‘had’ to produce which only appeared to shut me down. So I decided to just be. And that’s when the creativity snuck back! Does creating work like that for you too?!

I’m pretty pleased to announce I have started to spring decorate though, with this cutie-pie grain sack pillow! It was inspired by a gorgeous set of tea towels shown in the post. I want those too! LOL

Well, the sun is shining and I’m healthy with two lovely cats to keep me company so today is a good day! So let’s flip that into a good weekend while we enjoy some of these gorgeous features from last week’s party…

I love your grain sack seed pillows! They would look perfect at my house….just saying 🙂
Thank you for hosting. Right now it’s the only thing in my life that seems normal. I spend most of my time moving about without a plan.
Thanks for sharing my spring form planter.

I hope you have a Happy Easter!
    xo Lisa S

  2. ohmyGRAVY! once again, the FJI creative club never fails to disappoint – that WINDOW! the junk BUNNY! fabulous ideas, excellent execution.

and yes, Donna, i do understand where you are coming from…
you know that there have been times when i have stepped away from blogging, from writing, from creating. sometimes it’s because life just got too hard to juggle one more thing. but other times, it’s because ‘the business of creating’ utterly killed my creativity. and for a creative person to feel like they have no imagination or passion left is a very scary thing, indeed.

like you, i have had to give myself permission to step away from the lists and the computer and the camera, step away from the idea that ‘i am what i produce’, and just live. for a day, a weekend, or even a few years. that space to breathe, to think, to imagine without having to jump up and ‘do’ is a freedom that heals a weary spirit. it certainly did mine, which is why my creative passion returned with a roar and i’m blogging again! sounds like you’ve had a similar experience… now, we just need to learn to step away for small breaks BEFORE the burnout hits 😉

  3. Your new pillow is awesome, Donna! So nice when the creative juices cooperate;)Beautiful Springtime weather certainly helps! Thanks for faithfully hosting each week! Stay healthy!

  4. Oh my, the upcycled junk Easter bunny featured is so adorable! I had some fun with your buffalo check stencil for the grandkid’s sleepover room at our house. Wishing you a lovely Easter long weekend, Donna!

  5. Hard to pick a favorite but the window framed strainer/planter is beautiful, and ummm, the bunny’s carrot! Love it!
Thanks for featuring my junk heart, and for my heart giveaway post.
    Happy Easter Donna 🙂
