Repairing a rustic garden shed with demo tips by Funky Junk Interiors
And this round, I’m taking you on my journey of saving my beloved rustic shed. Come on over and see what it looks like NOW!
The shed was falling apart, and in order to salvaged the firewood inside, it was rip down the shed and rebuild a new one, or attempt to save what was already there.
I chose the latter, since at the very least, I’d learn a few things along the way, right?! BIG TIME RIGHT on steroids.
This post shares the demolition and beginner demo tips so you feel confident attempting a build yourself!
So while we wait for my shed to turn ‘prettier’ (heh), let’s check out some very pretty projects right NOW (thank-you, I needed this!) from last week’s party…

Donna,
Your shed looks amazing! We have been cleaning and dismantling our chicken coops. I’m saving the corrugated galvanized roof for an unknown future project.
Thank you so much for featuring my travel journal!
I have a few more rulers and I may make a larger version.

thank you so much for including my funky wreath and faux succulents in your party feature, Miss Donna – i am so glad you liked it. i am honored to be up there along with so many great ideas. Kim’s owls are just darling, and the travel journal is so gorgeous i’d hang it on my wall as art!
i can’t even tell you how jealous i am that you’ve been able to be outdoors working on projects. we’re in the midst of a heatwave here in So Cal that’s in the triple digits… and i’m hiding inside where it’s air conditioned! (the garage is 100 degrees and it’s hotter outside!) i can’t wait to see how terrific your shed looks when you are all finished – i mean, your fence was astounding so you’ve set the bar pret-ty high!
