Happy weekend!
This past week I landed two new-old things on the curb that turned out to be the perfect companions to this summer’s version of my garden shed…
Wooden gate and front porch step to a garden shed
Every summer I like to add new additions to the garden shed, and this summer I’ve landed two needed things! One was the perfect sized gate AND a fabulous wooden back step find for the back of the shed.
Well that was easy, right? Well… not really.
This post shares all the work that went into behind the shed to complete these two small additions… and truthfully portrays that not all additions are effortless. Sometimes it takes weeks if not months to complete one project, so I felt this one was very worth celebrating! Come and see the mess behind the shed and how I dealt with it!
In other news, I’ve already got new flowers and planted them around the shed, so I’ll have another fun update next week!
It’s been fun focusing on the outdoors again. The weather has been gorgeous and I think it’s time I share another bike ride on the blog too which I go out and do nearly every day. It just feels good to move outdoors!
So until I have more to share of my own, let’s enjoy these fabulous repurposed project tutorial features from last week’s party…

Mason jar tissue dispenser by Vintage Style Gal
A mason jar can be nearly anything, but never have I ever thought of a tissue dispenser! This clever tutorial shares how to paint a jar and prepare the lid to whip up one of these of your own!
Night stand made from a vintage school desk
School desk night stand by Vintage Style Gal
I’m a big fan of creative ways to use furniture, so this unique school desk turned night stand struck a chord with me! Love the moody new paint with that decadent lamp, and how the multi layers come to the rescue for different uses!

Thank you so much for featuring my tissue holder and nightstand Donna. I’m so honored. I love your new gate by the shed. I understand what you mean about projects taking a while to complete.
