Happy weekend!
This past week I’ve rolled up my sleeves and dealt with long overdue fixes. One was removing a jammed sliding patio door out of its slot, then replacing it back on the wheels again. Thank goodness for my son’s strength to help, and now I have a working door!
Another was getting a toilet to flush again. It’s been out of commission for some time because I was afraid to crack the tank if I removed it. But enough was enough, and honestly, 10 minutes later, we had the toilet off and fixed.
So while I haven’t blogged about any of those things, there is a hidden message in there that I really ought to blog about!
Then there’s two gates I landed from a neighbour. One has already been installed on my garden shed and the other will be put to use as well. Now that was unexpected! So this will become a before and after as soon as I pick up a few flowers to fill the window box planters.
But I did share a project this past week I’m thrilled with… and it was SO easy to do!
DIY easy grain sack fabric chair cushion technique using stencils!
I recently purchased two resin wicker chairs that really look like the real deal! But they were a little too plain for my liking, so it was time to grain sack stripe the chair cushions to give it a vintage vibe lift!
This post shares my super easy technique to get a super smooth, seamless look with a slightly weathered appearance so it appears like an authentic grain sack fabric.
So I until I can whip up a few more projects for next week, let’s get inspired with these fabulous repurposed project features from last week’s party post…

Miss Donna, thank you so much for including my fun ‘indoor’ sandy castle project in your feature this week! it really is easy – and if i still had the plethora of plastic sand toys used by my kids and grandkids, i wouldn’t have had to buy them new LOL.
btw – just an FYI: as of 10:00 AM PDT Saturday June 17, the widget for this week’s link party says ‘this link party is not open… opens in four days’ so no one can link to it 🙁
Thanks Deb! My apologies! The link party was mistakenly set at the wrong times which closed it before it started. LOL All fixed now!
Thank you for including my dollhouse in your featured items, I’m excited to get more rooms done!
