New Upcycle Ideas 712
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Greetings, friends!
I actually have a fun new project I worked on this week that’s all about rustic Valentines! But sadly I didn’t get the post built up in time for this party. So stay tuned for something fun and new next week! This will be my first official blog project of the year, so yay for making it happen before the end of January, and may the creative floodgates stay wide open! I hope.
I’m still in the midst of cleaning, and after I repainted the floor of the photo studio, the space looked way too inviting NOT to create something! Yay for fresh, inspiring surroundings to feel creative again! How are your own cleaning efforts going?
So let’s check out some fabulous upcycled project features from last week’s party to help everyone with some added inspiration!

Rustic heart frame from cardboard
Cardboard heart frame by A Crafty Mix
Put away those woodworking tools, because this rustic heart picture frame is NOT made from wood. But what an amazing effect this unique technique offers using cardboard. Wow! What’s equally interesting is the way the picture frame is hinged with a standard item you DO have at home.
Serene winter wreath with fabric
Winter wreath by Homeward Found Decor
Could your winter home use a lovely touch of light and bright, along with warmth and nature? This pretty winter wreath tutorial does all that and more. But don’t worry about buying a wreath form, as this uses something you likely use in summer! Genius AND gorgeous.
Rusty, crusty technique with paint
Aged metal technique by Homeroad
If you too adore the rusty, crusty look, this fabulous aged metal paint method will be handy to have in your crafting arsenal! What a great look with a mixture of paint along with a few other simple additions we all have at home!
Vintage Valentine’s Day shadow box
Valentine’s Day shadow box with bottle brush tree by Artsy Va Va
An assemblage of some select Valentine themed craft supplies plus a bottle brush tree looks positively darling tucked into a vintage napkin holder to create a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day shadow box! This would be such a cute way to display a special keepsake card from the past, don’t you think?
How to craft a Valentine’s Day junk journal from an old book
Valentine’s Day junk journal by Fresh Vintage By Lisa S
Every Valentine’s Day season, I like to shuffle through a few vintage valentine cards I have in my stash. So when this Valentine’s Day junk journal popped up on my screen, this would be the perfect way to showcase them in such a special way!
