New Upcycle Ideas 721
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Greetings friends!
If you’re a regular to these link parties, you may have noticed there was no new post last week. Being Easter weekend, the time was spent with family and activities this round. I hope you enjoyed your weekend too!
So creatives, please feel free to double up on your link-ups over the last 2 weeks if desired! We’d love to see ALL your creations!
This past week I shared an easy project that really upped the ante in my backyard!
Easy solar water fountain junk garden
It’s all about that solar fountain! I’m starting to arrange some ideas around our hot tub patio that we also use as a sitting area, so this was the perfect spot to try this out! It’s fabulous. Watching the movement and hearing the sounds of trickling water always feels right, especially when outdoors! Be sure to check out the short video in this post so you can see it in action!
Just so happy to be outdoors, even though it’s a little too cold to officially garden. I’m trying to push a few limits though because I really am eager to get out there.
So until there’s more to share, let’s check out this week’s upcycled project features from last week’s party… and boy are they inspiring me into spring!

Repurposed container teacup flower arrangements
Faux tea cup spring flower arrangement by Steph Creates – DIY Home and Crafts
I know what you’re thinking… ‘What a cute cup arrangement!” But this project goes beyond. The tea cup was repurposed from something you can make fresh from your recycle bin! Adorable! I’ll be watching for more interesting shapes from here on out myself!
From outdated duck plaque to rustic wall pocket
Repurposed duck plaque wall pocket
I LOVE it when Carlene comes home with special finds. She whips them into must-haves that end up so unique! And such is the case with this outdated duck plaque that turned into a rustic wall pocket plant holder! Love the added metal plaque, which makes it look like an authentic antique. Go see the before…
Build this living nest instead of just having plants!
Living nest spring decor by Homeward Found Decor
If you are a nest fan, you are going to LOVE this living nest, meaning, all the plants are real! This is such a unique twist to having ‘just plants’! There’s even some tips on building something similar with a few decor hacks. SO cool!
Craft a DIY wall sconce with wicker baskets
DIY wicker basket wall sconces by Sonata Home Design
Imagine a spot on a wall that could benefit from a little extra light. Perhaps it’s a hallway, pantry, inside a closet or even beside your bed…
Enter a unique way to create instant wall sconces inside anything you want… and in this case, two wicker tissue boxes! I love how easy this would be to customize to ones own style! Genius.
Handcrafted wicker woven oil basket (clay look with wicker)
Crafted antique wicker woven oil basket by A Crafty Mix
Ever hear of an antique wicker vessel? Even if you haven’t, this beautiful crafted antique wicker woven oil basket is a total eye-catcher! The rustic character adds such charm for a special display piece! Michelle is a genius at finding something she loves, then just goes ahead and makes one. So do check out this masterful tutorial for all the unique details!
