New Upcycle Ideas 751

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Greetings all!

Whadda week! I actually had two things to share, but only time to get one up on the blog… and since it’s ‘that time of year’, here’s the post that won!

Easy and unique Christmas porch signs with 3D elements

10+ unique Christmas porch signs with 3d elements

Every Christmas, a Christmas porch sign really seems to take off. And this year it’s this 3D Branch Christmas tree. But then again, the Herringbone Wood Christmas tree is a close second, and on it goes! So I decided to pull ALL my Christmas porch signs into one blog post so they are easy to scroll through, along with their videos so it’s easy to pick and choose!

So this post showcases 10… with more to come! I think what makes each special are the added 3D elements in which each Christmas sign has that. Come on over and let me know which one’s your fav!

So until there’s more to share, let’s check out this week’s super creative upcycled project features from last week’s party

New Upcycle Ideas 751 features:

Easy-care enhanced cactus crate

Stenciled Home Sweet Home crate by Creative Moments

I’m all about a simple rustic crate, but I just love how this simple stencil design elevated it so much! Plus this faux cactus-look is right up my alley since I forget to water everything! So here’s how to get a plant look without too much fuss afterwards. This post also shares how pretty the crate looks with a flower in bloom too!

White painted ceramic pumpkins

When you have orange ceramic pumpkins and wish they were a little more neutral, this project will convince you to grab the paint before purchasing new ones!

I LOVE how realistic these turned out thanks to some added antiquing waxes to give them a ton of dimension. Plus, they won’t rot so they can be left up until the very last leaf drops off the trees! Beautiful outcome staged in that rustic dough bowl!

Lisa is the master at making DIY journals, and today’s are extra quaint, thanks to using vintage linen towels as journal covers! What a lovely way to perhaps save special cards, notes or pictures. Take a peek at this post to see how they are being used!

Dollar Tree canvas Jack-o-lantern by Creatively Beth

After you see how easy this dollar tree art canvas turned jack-o-lantern is, you may never fuss with real pumpkins ever again! This is such an amazing use of a simple canvas that is super safe to display anywhere you wish! Imagine it illuminating a corner of a darkened room…

faux pumpkin cake - featured on New Upcycle Ideas 751

Faux pumpkin cake by Homeward Found Decor

Even if you don’t have time to make this somewhat intricate project, this is a must-peek! I love Deb’s artistry when it comes to her faux projects, and this one takes the cake! (sorry, had to) The amount of steps creating this incredible faux pumpkin cake would have me needing to eat a real cake because this is way to enticing NOT to! I just want cake so bad right now…

And a very special mention goes out to THIS CAT ROOM. My goodness… it’s a needed space that turned out SO fun!

  1. Donna,
I just love your 3D Tree stenciled sign. It would look perfect on my front porch!!!!
Thank you for hosting another inspirational party.
I’m so glad you liked my Twin Journals- I just can’t stop making these 😉
    xo Lisa S

  2. thank you so much for including my fake pumpkin cake in your feature, Donna! (it has ME craving cake alllll day long, if that makes you feel any better LOL)

…and yes, it’s a very ‘involved’ process for this project – but sometimes, it’s worth spending a lot of time and effort on something you envision, just to see if it actually works!

  3. Fabulous inspiration this week, Donna, and thank you for including my Canvas Jack-O-Lantern! Have a wonderful week and thank you for being an awesome host! Creatively, Beth
