New Upcycled Projects to Make 584

Happy weekend!
I think I may as well name this hiatus of mine and call it summer vacay. LOL
We ventured through one of the hottest heat waves on record. It was hotter than any place I’ve ever been to in the entire world, and lemme tell ya, it was all about survival and keeping myself and my cats safe.
But we made it. Our weather has returned to our normal temps of cool summer breezes in the evenings and manageable days. Thank goodness!
This last event gave me a wake up call though. I’ve been denying myself a whole buncha privileges like central air, pool, etc. And I’m going to be changing that. So I’ll be sharing how I’m giving myself my own summer vacay spot right at home as I continue to build on it! Right now we are all sold out of everything to keep you cool. Crazy times.
So this round, let’s just appreciate those still at it full speed ahead who (ahem) entertain those of us who are slowing down a little…with last week’s link party highlights…
This post will be completed later on tonight!

Driftwood sailboat by Junky Encores on Facebook

Grab a piece of firewood for this one, because this dried flower in a log arrangement is stunning! Love the simplicity.

Can you use an outdoor drink station too? This round it’s about a sewing machine cabinet. LOVE the patriotic decorating!

Thank you so much for hosting ♥ xoxo from Holland!
Thanks for hosting the party! Stay cool 🙂
The heat wave that was by you is starting to make it’s way to southern Michigan! I know what you mean about the pool. Last year (during pandemic & stay at home orders) we ordered an inflatable hot tub for our patio. It worked well & the temp could be turned down to enjoy cooler water. Unfortunately we have a very nosy next door neighbor who practically lives peeking over our fence & this year we just didn’t put the pool/tub up due to no privacy 🙁 We’ve added several layers of bamboo fencing to our 5 ft privacy fence, but he still makes sure he’s “looking” at his garden whenever we decide to go into our backyard. Maybe someday we’ll be able to put the pool/tub back up! I believe we ordered the pool/tub off Amazon and it came with free shipping. If I remember correctly it was under $400 (US).
Thanks so much for the feature Donna! That was some crazy temps you folks had to endure!
So glad to hear the temps are back to normal. 🙂
