Welcome to Party Junk 198 – a DIY link party!
We are finally home from camping, and probably this round to stay. The trailer is all cleaned up and ready for next year, and I’m digging into some rather standard DIY’s at home, such as repainting the house trim. But gotta take advantage of good weather when it’s here, right?
Anyway, here are a few junky favourite DIYS from Party Junk 197 that caught my eye…
DIY pipe and door table – Beyond the Screen Door
Sonya’s friend Tara owns a greenhouse. Tara decided she needed a home office desk and had one of her handy employees to create one from an old door and pipes. All you add is glass. I LOVE this quirky take! Goodness… I’m positively jittery over it. I may have to make one.
Vintage oar house number sign – The Happy Housie
Krista came up with a clever way to incorporate a vintage oar into her house number sign. She taped off her design, painted it and added house numbers. Do check out her tips on her paint choice and taping techniques!
Bud Vase / Votive Holder – A House and Yard
Calista teamed up some baby food jars and clamps, attached the works to some reclaimed wood and came up with a gorgeous way to either display or store whatever your heart desires. I think I’d use this for office pens and pencils and tools and such. Must make!
Every time I feature other’s work, I want to jump outta my chair and make them! Hope they inspired you too!
The third themed linkup will begin again next weekend… if we’re home. 🙂 I will admit it’s been a little lighter creating party posts without the 3rd theme. Do you miss it at all or have you been happy with the summer format? I’d love your feedback!
Happy partying, all! Let’s see what you’ve been up to!

Thanks for hosting such a great party Donna. Tons of inspiration here!
Donna, thanks so much for featuring the bud vase/votive holder project my daughter and I made. I like your idea to use it for office supplies or tools. Ya know, with different sized jars you could hold any number of things, couldn’t you? Another variation my daughter and I discussed was to white wash the wood before attaching the clamps. What do you think?
My pleasure! And I think you should try it out! Sounds fab for the right space that requires a little more brightness. 🙂
