Welcome to Party Junk 248 – Risky Rustic Projects
Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Happy weekend, everyone! I am still in Maui and having a spectacular time! But time is ticking away quickly, so we are attempting to start to do more of the activities the island as to offer. You can see what we’re up to on Instagram.
So, after glancing at last weekend’s party, I came across one project in particular. Which influenced this weekend’s 2nd theme… risky rustic projects.
Taking risks with decorating can really take you to places unknown. Risk taking isn’t for the faint of heart by a longshot! But how fun is it to come up with ideas you yourself have created? Risk taking is all about trial and error and seeing what transpires.
Here are a few successful risky rustic project highlights from last week’s party….
Rustic spindle table / Beyond the Picket Fence
What I admire about Becky’s projects most is that they’re loaded with whimsey. I never know exactly what will pop up next, but I know without a doubt they will be colourful. This project pushed into the risk zone with these colourful spindle legs. That is just fun!
Old drawer spindle planters / My Love 2 Create
Oh, this one is so ‘riskily’ wonderful! (riskily is risky too, no?) This is what can happen when you team up drawers and spindles. These planters by Mindi make taking risks a whole lotta fun to look at!
Rustic mudpie station / Bliss Ranch
I haven’t decided if this project was risky or flat out incredible, so I decided to risk it and put it in here anyway. When you have six kids, you want to keep them busy. I believe this would do it. Bliss, while I’m not much of a cook, I’d change my mind if this was in my yard!
Rustic reclaimed front entry made out of what?! via Funky Junk Interiors
Desiring a new look for my front entry without any ‘real furniture’ to toss in there, I piled a few odds and sods together to create this functional, yet very risky rustic take for a side table. I personally think the hydrangeas saved it, so if in doubt, throw some fresh flowers on your risky projects and call it done! 🙂
Let’s get this party rolling… link up your projects below in the two linkups!
