Welcome to Party Junk 259 – salvaged workshop and craft room ideas
Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hello and a happy weekend to you! This week I was busy morphing my own garage into a workshop. I’m tellin’ ya, that move has been life changing. No one feels like creating in a space that is begging for a facelift.
Where do you create?
Whether you create in a workshop, craft room, office, or wherever else, I’d love to see your own repurposed ideas! I’ll feature a few of them in this post, so link those beautiful spaces up! 🙂
For the time being, here’s my own space thus far. Not done yet but it’s a great start…
Dream workshop project in a single car garage / Funky Junk Interiors
Bound and determined to create a workshop I love, I can safely say I now really WANT to create in this space! The curbside table find was a treasure at 10 feet long!
Two vintage drain covers help organize the sandpaper, while a variety of jars and cups hold the screws.
A little shelf and branch combo became the perfect twine and tape dispenser.
Metal rack dumpster find for reclaimed wood storage / Funky Junk Interiors
This dumpster find turned out to be a much needed storage rack for all my hoarding tendancies where reclaimed wood comes in. Totally lucked out with that red too.
A couple of crate ends offer stability for hooks to hang up whatever you need.
And here are a few of other’s genius ideas…
Tin can organizer / Knick of Time
This is funky and something ANYONE can do! Love how Angie bounced the cans at different levels. Who else wants an entire wall of these?
More to come!
Now I’d love to see yours!

Hi Donna. Inspired by your workshop changes. So inspired that I am working on turning my office into a small workshop (minus the saw and sanding, those have to be done elsewhere). Huge job. Thanks for PJ this week. Love joining in.
Joy
I am SO happy to hear that Joy! Welcome to the land of the mess… LOL It is a huge job but it’ll be your most worthwhile one. Ask me how I know. Thanks for visiting each and every week!
happy weekend donna!
i think workshops are some of the most beautiful and interesting of all rooms! and your is making me drool!!
I so agree Ananda, it’s so interesting to see what others incorporate according to their own styles. Thanks for the kudos and your visit!
Donna, your workshop is AHMAAAAZING!

Hi Donna,
Thanks so much for the party. I create wherever I can. Usually it is on my deck or in my dining room. I get so frustrated not having adequate space to create. Have a wonderful weekend.
Oh, I do lots of that too Trish. Actually, wherever the best light is for photos! 🙂 Which is even outside at times. I need a crafting area with great lighting… that’s next in the works.
Seems like ages since I’ve caught your party, Donna! Thanks for hosting!

I LOVE your new workshop. And that is my style, with everything found, junky and upcycled. I added my Garage and Office, all Junk decorated of course.
I’m envious of your workshop in the making, Donna! My workshop is a total dump right now, and you can barely walk through it. I’m hoping next spring will be the year I *finally* turn it into the workshop of my dreams! Thanks for adding my tin can organizer. I’m actually making another one right now. I love the heck out of the original one and have it completely full. It was time to make another one.
Wow! What great storage ideas! I will have to try some soon.. Thanks for sharing!
