Welcome to Party Junk 269 – Upcycled moss projects
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Happy weekend, everyone!
I’ve been doing a little yard work lately…even mowed my lawn for the first time! Whoop! So I’m in the mood for shots of green.
I tend to be a brown thumb where plants are concerned indoors (I just forget to water…) so I’ve always felt moss is such an easy alternative. You get your fresh spring touch but don’t have to care for it much. Perfection!
Here are some charming moss projects, while not all upcycles, could be…
Moss with texture in a gorgeous home tour / Southern Hospitality
Every Friday, Rhoda hosts home tours called Feature Fridays. Wait till you see this one… trust me. Click. But it’s this little moss in a square clay pot that captured my heart. I love the square against the round. So rustically cool!
Framed moss and other unique ideas / Garden Therapy
Stephanie went on a tour… and came across the most amazing ways to work with moss. I adore these shadow boxes with such colourful moss. This post showcases other super creative ways with plants and things too… worth the click over!
Mossy nest in a tea cup / Stone Gable
Oh Yvonne… you know your way with bird nests and things… this post is so charming and will make you swoon… see all of her ideas tucked inside a cupboard!
Moss bunny topiaries / Houspitality Designs
Shirley seems to always capture the most exquisite home interior posts, and this shot is no exception. This goes to prove anything can become a mossy topiary. I want to make something fun now! Do take this tour… it’s pretty incredible! Love the branch stems!
10 minute daffodils in a teacup with moss / Lilacs and Longhorns
Julie has the right idea. I love 10 min projects, and these flowers in a tea cup topped with moss is perfection for spring! The entire post is enchanting.
Kettle rock garden with moss / Funky Junk Interiors
Have you ever created a rock garden with old kettles? What? No?? 🙂 Such a cute, junk styled addition to any garden!
Make your own moss topiaries / Funky Junk Interiors
Moss topiaries are truly a brown thumb’s best friend. These look like spring year around and I can be forgetful as I desire about watering. 🙂

Hi Donna, thank you for PJ 269. Great start on reclaiming your yard from our mild and wet winter. 1st lawn mow !!! Old well weathered fence boards – treasure indeed.

Thanks so much for the party Donna – and for sharing the link on that fabulous bungalow tour – that patio area with the fireplace O.M.G !!!
And I can’t believe you’re mowing already – we’re still white here in Montreal
Have a great weekend

Those fun moss projects are making me think spring…sooo ready 🙂 I have the same problem with plants. Hmmm…think I’ll have to add some moss around here. Thanks for hosting Donna! Have a great weekend!! Laurel
Thank you for hosting, Donna. Love the moss projects! I have a whole side-yard of it at our new-to-us house and have been looking for some ways to take advantage of it.
Seeing all this moss makes me want spring here now, I don’t care that there is ice and snow outside, I’m ready for all that stuff to go and spring to come. I Actually have 3 of the square pots in various sizes that I plant impatients, but guess where one will be this year. Thanks
I’m into the mossy look. I just picked up some mossy covered bunnies from Target Dollar Spot. Thanks for hosting.
I’ve never done a single moss project – I’m going to have to remedy that!
Happy Weekend, Donna!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so jealous to hear about someone mowing their lawn before…hehe! Thank you for this very beautiful and very needed shot of spring!
