This little button garland creation was a brainstorm by accident. A big jumbled mess resided on my kitchen counter when I just threw this together. Don’t you love it when just a bunch of clutter can actually turn into something special?
How I did it
The button garland was created by linking Christmas ornament hooks together through the button holes, then pinching the ends.
That. Is. It.
Imagine the button garland in different colours for different occasions. So cute!
You will see where the button garland ended up on Day 6, so stay tuned!
Have you made a garland out of anything quirky?

LOL how crazy is that. I have a garland on the blog today too, with buttons. People are gonna think we coordinated. And my garland needs to find its final spot too.
Great minds think alike….
Oh and your garland is adorable and right up this button-loving songbirds alley.
Donna I love that garland! I love the way it has metal between the buttons, (very junky)! I made a garland last week out of mini pinecones and beads, it came out great! http://www.homeroad.net/2012/11/mini-pinecone-garland.html
Thanks for the inspiration!

Morning Donna, Amazing, how simple but just so very endearing. I have been fascinated by buttons my whole life. My Grandma would let me sift through her button box. Thank you for touching a wonderful memory.
Button, button, who’s got the button!? Donna does! Oh wow! This is fabulous and so creative. I’m in love.
Donna,

This is a great idea…never saw ornament hooks that attractive, though! (I confess, I thought they were paper clips).
Fantastic idea–I LOVE buttons!I am so making this for next year!
You sure have a way with being creative–I did something similar with sea shells collected over the years. I wanted to be able to see them instead of keeping them in a box. And they make me smile..
