Welcome to my rustic cabin Christmas living room decor ideas tour!

If you just came from my DIY wood tree Christmas kitchen tour, you’ll soon see how the two interiors chime in with each other for the holiday season.

And I did it! Home tours require some pretty epic cleaning since a picture catches everything. So I’m happy to report, my living room is sparkling clean and staged just right for the season!

The Christmas mantel

The cabin theme pulled together thanks to the rustic CABINS sign on the fireplace mantel.  And the little woodsy trees and house ornaments just took over from there.

A cozy cabin feel with nature, neutrals and wood

This year, I decided to attempt to squeeze the Christmas tree in the corner of the room because with two large IKEA Ektorp 3.5 sofas, there is no extra room to move furniture around!

Carefully measuring, I honestly couldn’t believe I landed a real tree with the perfect dimensions! What are the chances?

Keeping the Christmas living room decor to a minimum has been helpful this year. The space feels cozy without the clutter.

I mean, what a fit! And since the Christmas tree had such a cool Charlie Brown tree vibe, I felt it needed a unique Christmas tree skirt… sled-style!

As you can see, the tree ornaments are a very neutral color scheme with black, white, greenery and wood.

A forest of white brush bottle Christmas trees

This collection of white bottle brush trees came from a dollar store last year. Aren’t they oozing with rustic Christmas charm?

I love the quirky tree shape layers, and since they are small enough to fit nearly anywhere, I felt they looked cool on the side of the pallet TV stand.

My son will be sure to move them if they are ‘in the way,’ of the almighty TV screen, but I’m betting they will be fine!

Cozy white sofa with plank wood skis

Big, neutral throw pillows helped bring all the soft holiday decor tones into play. Love the look of big, oversized cushions!

Oh hey… did you notice the wood plank skis? They look great above the sofa and fit perfectly!

It was very tempting to leave the plank vintage skis by the shed outdoors, but I really wanted them in the living room for that ski inspiration, so in they came!

But who knows… perhaps after Christmas they can return to the shed to play before it snows.

Christmas sweater throw pillows

I am completely smitten over cozy Christmas sweater styled throw pillows! They feel like visiting ski hills to me, and can stay up well past Christmas if you tone them in neutrals.

Remember the little white crock in my Christmas kitchen tour HERE? Another vintage crock takes center stage on this little coffee table. This crock will also be filled with Christmas cookies, specifically Peppernuts!

But I told myself this home tour must be completed before I bake a thing. So here I type… because tomorrow is baking day! I cannot wait to sink into that sofa munching on those spicy cookies.

And to bring the outdoors in, some wood bark candles chime in perfectly. I love the look of these.

Pinecones and evergreen branches in a vintage crate

Another element of nature sits on the bottom shelf of the coffee table. A vintage crate filled with pine cones and fresh foliage add the perfect rustic texture touch for a festive season centerpiece. And didn’t cost me a thing.

Don’t you just love shopping for Christmas decorating outdoors? I went out on a bike ride and found this all in one ride.

Cozy IKEA sofa with ottoman

This is ‘my sofa’ where I always sit, because it’s positioned perfect towards the TV.

I’m a fanatic over the IKEA Ektorp white slipcover ottoman. It’s huge and turns your sofa into a lounger. My kinda Netflixing!

Mini Christmas trees in tin cans on a vintage barrel make a cozy decorating statement! Take the full Christmas living room decorating ideas tour HERE

Seedling mini Christmas trees in tin cans with a little train house

To bring the cabin theme into this corner of the room, a tiny little train house sits on a couple of planks, positioned on top of a vintage barrel.

Two seedling styled mini Christmas trees in tin cans (originally from Hobby Lobby a few years ago) make you feel like you’ve just pulled them out of the forest and brought them inside. Adore their little pinecones.

Pine green bench with Chestnuts crate snackbox

Now, I do have a new bench side table I just redid that I have been using beside the sofa which I LOVE.

However, since my living room was so incredibly dark today, I couldn’t capture it like I was able to in the above pic.

So I decided to style the bench as a coffee table in front of the sofa. I love it there too! And the fact that it isn’t too large makes the bench very easy to shuffle around the room.

Don’t you adore the green color? This is called Bayberry by Fusion Mineral Paint. The natural pine tone chimes in with this Christmas theme so well. I don’t use much color in my spaces, but to me, this is a beautiful natural shade of green that always feels right.

And what a fit for that Chestnuts crate snackbox! The crate lid also works well as a serving tray.

But I honestly stack the crate on top of the bench and use it like this. The crate raises my coffee cup to the perfect height!

And doesn’t that bench frame that crate perfectly? They were seriously made for each other.

Snack time!

And I mean… those treats don’t hurt either!

Just excuse the fact that the nut cups are nearly empty. Proof it’s working I guess! Very well I might add.

This is my favorite picture because she looks like she’s just one of the cozy pillows. Oh the warmth!

And, good idea Sky! It’s finally time to go cuddle up with her in our now very festive living room and start the Christmas festivities! My son will be spending a night or two at my place so we can ring in Christmas right. We plan to drag out Mario on the old Nintendo system, grab some snacks and have a great visit!

I hope you enjoyed my cozy Christmas living room decor tour and got some new inspiring Christmas decor ideas to possibly implement in your own home next Christmas!
