DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 334

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Hello everyone!

If you signed in early for the party, you’ll have noted that I was a little delayed with last week’s features this weekend. Sorry about that! Time got away from me. But they are up, loud and proud now!

I also had visions of putting the link party on hiatus over the summer. Thing is, we are planning to go away.

But I have a confession…

After I started featuring last week’s projects tonight, I just fell in love with your work all over again!

I’m so very honoured you’d bring your beautiful creations my way. I just love showcasing you here. You bring such high calibre work, it just floors me. I mean, check out that round up above. Isn’t it so gorgeously bright and vibrant?!

So… I’m going to back down from my total summer hiatus idea. The party may not transpire every weekend through the summer, but I will do my best. And if the odd weekend is missed, we’ll have extra goodness the following week, yes?

So please continue to tune in as always to see what’s up! And I’ll be filling you in on our new adventure next week.

Here are some drop dead gorgeous junk projects from last weekend…

I just love how Angie layered the timeless fabric behind this beautifully distressed wooden frame. And check out those tiny clothespins… this is beautiful!

It was only a matter of time before genius garden junker Carlene came up with a new way to showcase her green thumb. I want a swing!

And one more, because she’s just that good. This bright green screened window screams summer, thanks to those hooks for holding gear or plants, and of course, that decadent stencilling job!

At first I thought that round stuff was barbed wire. Turns out it’s a grapevine! I just adore this look! This post leads to a few other pallet flag variations as well, a must peek! Love the patina you’ve achieved, Jennifer!

Yes please, Joan. I’ll take several! All the wonderful things a scrap piece of wood can become in her hands…

Carole is out of old sign control in the very best of ways. Isn’t this junk assemblage Potting Shed sign just so pretty? VERY cool frame. I love how the potted flowers appear to be sitting on a ledge, and am loving the added falling leaves.

Stencil info and tutorial is in this post.

Thanks to a broken flower crate, my little rustic shed is wearing a new update! A super easy no build potting bench, with an old sign hard at work organizing the tools.

But it became a tad more than that… come on over and take a peek!

  1. Hey Donna! Thanks for the party, and of course I would come back in September, if you do decide to take a break from the party this summer! I know it would probably be nice for you to have a break, either way is good with me. I just love seeing the awesome features you pick each week!

  2. I don’t blame you at all for wanting to take a hiatus, I’m thinking of doing the same for the month of July. Summer is for relaxing but you know I’ll link up again…I love your party.

  3. Glad to hear you’re keeping the party going through the summer and don’t blame you for taking some breaks while you enjoy the season. Our summers are so short here in Canada, getting outdoors to enjoy them is way more important than being in front of our computer screens. Have a great weekend, Donna!

  4. Oh how I’ve missed my creative junk friends!! I am needing an extra dose of inspiration these days…and I came to the right place. Love the features! Couldn’t resist adding a couple of recent posts to the mix.
I can see why you would want to be more “laid back” with your party in the summer Donna. That’s what summer is all about.
Thanks for letting me join in! Laurel

  5. I so appreciate your weekly party and the regular boost of inspiration but I cannot imagine how much work it is to curate something like this. Everybody needs a break now and then esp in the summer. Whatever you decide – Enjoy yourself!
