DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 347
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Are you having some nice, fall weather too?
It’s been so nice here, I’ve set down my indoor projects to head outdoors in order to be a part of that vitamin D capture. Who else can NOT stay indoors on a nice day? Is it just wet coasters that must sprint towards the sun when it finally peeks out, or do you forever sun people do the same thing?
I’ve been purging, yard cleaning, pressure washing (again), getting trees pruned, and I even washed the outside of my house… standing on a roof at the 2nd level. That was not my comfort zone… perhaps that’s why it took me 3 years to do it? I’ll show you around next week.
Aside from that, this past week I showed you how I typically dismantle a project before making another (great room saver!), and brought you back to Hawaii, this time with my first impressions of Kauai.
So, without further ado, here’s what YOU all did last week…
Spindle headboard bench, by Confessions of a Serial DIYer
Life may be good at the beach, but my life would be better with that spindle headboard bench on my porch. This is a beauty!
I really seriously need to stop trying to find the perfect thing for my front door, and just MAKE it. Thanks for the push, Christy!
DIY flannel shirt wired ribbon, by Sadie Seasongoods
Just when I myself am pulling out my flannel shirts to stay cozy, out comes this project, putting said shirts in danger. Guess I’ll just have to get more. 🙂 Thanks for a great reason to shop, Sarah! This idea is so clever!
Stencilled dresser wood fix, by Kammy’s Korner
I’ve always knew stencils had strength, but Kammy sure put this one to the test. You need to see the before of this dresser. I’m not sure I would have had this much vision! Great save!
Twine wrapped pets, by Wisconsin Magpie
Any funky little figurine can become a twine wrapped rustic wonder! This post proves it. Aren’t they adorable?
Faux concrete pears with paint, by My Creative Days
Don’t you love the look of concrete? I can’t believe this was achieved with just paint!
Vintage paper bookmarks, by Adirondack Girl at Heart
Scrap pieces of this and that become even more beautiful as well as productive, with these lovely bookmarks. What a seriously hostess lovely gift idea!
3rd generation reclaimed wood coffee tray by Funky Junk Interiors
I don’t know about you, but I run out of room. So I build with screws… so I can easily take stuff apart, only to rebuild all over again. This 3rd generation reclaimed wood tray post also shows you what it was in 2 previous lives…
So, what did you make or do this past week? Link up below!
