Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 447
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello my friends!
I hope you are enjoying the fall season that appears to be in full throttle mode in most areas!
It’s chilly when I bike ride, so I must look like quite a sight! Heavy jacket, gloves, joggers over yoga pants and of course a face mask on occasion… all pro biker here! Heh.
Well, on one of those chilly clear trail riding days golden hour hit full throttle. The world before me morphed into this magical dream land bringing only certain elements into full colour. Which emulated my current life.
I’ve been living in ‘same ‘ol land (the shadows) for quite a while, but the new dreams emerging (golden hour hits) have been challenging, yet so amazingly vibrantly rewarding!
Read about my ‘golden hour dreams’ in THIS POST for the full story… it may help pick up your own dragging feet just a little… plus, this shoot is gorgeous.
In other news, I have been super busy putting my time into gearing up for an exciting trip next week I’ll share soon, continuing with pottery class, (my mugs are now ready to glaze!) AND also a little frustrated I haven’t slated down more time to create and blog about that… hmmm…
So I’m going to try to put DIY on top of the list for next week and see if it helps. How did this blogger get too busy to blog?! (Kudos for getting an off-line life, right?)
Because I too want to be a part of showing you what new exciting things I’ve made… such as these spectacular projects you brought over from last week’s party…
From yearbooks to 3D Halloween spell books by Sadie Seasongoods
Over the top AMAZING right here on these old year books. I love how the new designs utilize the imprints on the covers. I mean… oh my goodness. I can also now visualize covers for pretty journals… my head is spinning with ideas!
Cupboard door mail sorter and key organizer, part of an upcycled home tour by Organized Clutter
Are you ready for an upcycled overload in all the right ways?
This mini home tour showcases many cool DIY helpful and beautiful projects that are so easy to copy. A super special mention goes out to a spectacular stenciled houndstooth dresser and buffalo checked side table!
And of course, small useful projects like this fab cupboard door turned mail sorter.
Such a good scroll!
Chippy picture frame with scrabble tile messages by Homeroad
At first glance I thought this was a mini chalkboard. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Find out what this little treasure is made from!
However it’s the scrabble letter messages that grabbed me and held on super tight. Fabulous touch and SO easy to customize!
Shaped pallet wood fall pumpkin patch sign by Homeroad
A major nod to fall in all the right ways, this pumpkin shaped pumpkin patch sign reminds me all I need to do is head for the wood pile when I desire a pumpkin!
Fab tutorial and stencil details are inside this post.
Picture frame dry erase message board by Styling With CJD.Sign
Since I’m currently into a writing class that focuses on all things dreams, this message board truly caught my eye. This is a beautiful way to list all the important things for each new day. I think I’m going to make one for my own daily-dream to-do list!

Thanks for sharing my mail organizer and my daughter’s DIY townhouse decor post, Donna! Your awesome stencils played a big part in her decor!
So glad you are finding them work so well with your mad decorating skills Carlene! Watching what you create next feels like Christmas morning…
Love the features again this week, especially Sarah’s Halloween spell books! Hope your weekend has been a much warmer one than it is here in Alberta – more snow 🙁
I’ve been watching your weather! Unreal! Yes, we are having a string of sunshine and warmer temps so I couldn’t be happier!
As for Sarah’s books… off the charts creative I say!
Thank you, Donna, for sharing my Tutorial “Picture frame dry erase message board by Styling With CJD.Sign” I have loved using my board and it is so easy that the Grandchildren now look at it for their personal notes from Grandma when they pop through the door! Love your blog! Following!
