Happy weekend to ya!

Not really sure where the week went! I looked at the calendar and it was clear I didn’t fill up the day with a whole buncha productive stuff. What did I even do in between bike rides and keeping the house clean?!

Oh yes! I did start a dresser makeover for the sewing / spare room HERE. It’s still in the works so hopefully I’ll have it done for next week.

And I did pick up some new junk on the way to the bike trails so I have no excuse… there is some fun stuff to work on! Now to just do it.

I share lots of sneak peeks of this kinda every day life on Instagram Stories. Follow HERE on Funky Junk and HERE on Old Sign Stencils if you’d like to join in!

But I did finish one project… in 2 hours!

See this dramatic before and after of this little grapevine covered rustic shed that got new garden shutters and a cute vintage bike!

When I returned from vacation, the shed out back was completely overcome by grapevines, resembling that red fuzzy monster on Bugs Bunny. A quick 2 hours later, it returned with some fresh new additions giving it an all new look!

Did you guys have a super productive week or does it slip by you too? What was your big win of the week?

Here’s a few project wins you brought over from last weekend’s party…

Nope! Guaranteed, what you see is not what actually is AT ALL! You must see how that little ‘handbag’ was made… it completely fooled me!

I have yet to own a cheese cloche because I don’t store or serve cheese like this. However after seeing this beauty buffalo checked showcasing mini pumpkins, I must have one! So cute, and keeps dust off your vignettes as well.

Isn’t this old timer stunning? But it took some effort! The board was found in its own. Then two lucky shopping finds later, the cards were gathered, completing the look just like it was originally  showcased! I love a beautiful antique that tells the full story.

Susan had me at cute wooden cubbie. But add in a few shipping crate stamps and a buffalo checked backing, this little number turned spectacular! Full stencil details are inside this post.

I have a collection of vintage rolling pins myself, but haven’t found a clever way to display them. Then this sweet buffalo checked Bakery sign with a vintage farmhouse vibe came along. And then there’s those fork hooks…

When I spotted this adorable Argyle chair makeover, I gasped. The matching back… the festive tones… the blanket, socks or sweater look begging to be worn… all of it! Full stencil details are inside this post.

  1. Oh, Donna, the shed is so fun and the “new” old fence you shared last week is nothing short of incredible! Thanks for featuring my little argyle chair. I am sharing another little chair today with one of my favorite Old Sign Stencils!

  2. Whooop, whoop, doing the happy dance. Thanks so much for featuring our tin can handbag planter Donna. She was a FUN-ctional upcycle 😉

And I can’t believe I finally managed to organize two of your stencils to be shipped to South Africa. I’m super excited and have a whole bunch of stuff planned with those stencils. I can’t wait for them to get here. Take care and hope the weather your side does get too cold too quickly

    • YAY!!! Can’t wait to see your creative take with them Michelle! Now if I could only slip into that package as Africa is indeed on my own bucket list! Would you like to do a house swap for a month or so?! You want to come to BC Canada, and you love cats, yes? LOL
