Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 524

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Hi all!

How have you been this past week? I feel like some of my days are super happy and upbeat, while some have me wanting to crawl under the covers with a bag of chips and a couple cats and binge watch Netflix. And I’m trying to be ok with that…

But I’m happy to report, I’ve been doing a few things around the house that are new to me and long overdue, such as put up a light and fix a sliding door. And deep cleaning again…

Action is just such a good motivator! If I feel myself slipping, I get up and clean… and in no time I appear to be plugged in for more. All I know is, I feel better when my mind is active and learning something.

I do a lot of sharing on Instagram stories (also shared to Facebook) so feel free to follow my everyday adventures in both places!

What’s helping fuel you these days?

And I’m curious… I haven’t really done personal updates lately. Is this something you’d like to hear more of on the blog from time to time?

But hey… I did make something cool too!

I challenged myself to come up with a project that an entire family could do together, but this one can also entertain for hours after as well! What a win! All made from scrap wood. Now to teach the cats to play with me… LOL

So let’s see what you’ve been up to! Here’s some fab features from last week’s party

  2. Thanks so much for featuring our denim wind chime, mobile thingy Donna, and a big fat YES to you sharing more of your personal stories. They always make me feel like I’m not so alone in going through crazy life stuff. Stay safe and stay happy and cuddle those purr babies anytime you want to. Coz purr baby cuddles always make things right.

  3. I love your rustic checkerboard, Donna! It would make such a wonderful Father’s Day gift. I hear you about the good days and the bad days. This was a bad week. Stay busy, stay safe, and have a nice weekend! I bet you’re enjoying those bike rides more than ever right now.

  4. Kind of sharing all the things that will be turning into projects this week, I guess! So many I hardly know where to begin;) But I love having “potential” at the ready! Thanks for hosting, Donna! Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. Donna, thanks so much for featuring my project and for hosting us again! Yes, it would be awesome to see your party projects. I bet they’ll be elevated with your awesome stencils.

  6. Its okay to have up days and down days. Today is what I call “foraging for food day”. Its weird and kind of depressing going into the grocery stores now. I don’t mind wearing the mask and trying to stay farther away from people, but looking at the bare shelves just gives me the creeps. I think I do better on the warmer days when I can open up the windows in the house while working on a project inside. I’m itching for warmer weather to get outside and dig in the flower beds. I normally don’t do annuals, but I think this year we all need the sprucing up and extra color! I love your posts about what you did in your yard. I’d love to see more of those! Stay safe & well!
